Place was dirty. Walls were plaster and old and dirty. Exterior doors opened with brick holding them open. No safety cautions. NO AMENITIES AT ALL

The staff fixed the hot water problem immediately the next morning and apologized for the odor, explaining it was due to the humidity. They also did something about the roach because I never saw any others. The bed was SOFT and COMFY!!! The air conditioning worked well. Overall, it was an okay stay, The lobby and hallways, as well as the public restrooms did not have any air conditioning. I found that to be troubling.

The ice machine didn’t even work! Very run down place- needs to be updated!
-
The air conditioner did not work properly did not get the room cold. Everything was pretty rundown and there is no elevator. We have to use the stairs. The rooms were simple, but do not get one with the pullout couch. It is very very old worn out. It’s terrible to sleep on it. There was also an ant problem. I would not stay there again.

Large property with lots of parking. Not all exterior doors from the separate building sections work to provide entry/exit access. Didn't use pool or laundry areas; what little i could see sprayed clean from a distance. Needing was clean and fresh, but no housekeeping (?). Older decor in the 2-story lobby was okay, but portable air conditioners instead of a/c doesn't cool it with the front door standing open in 100+° weather, and it makes passing through unpleasant. (I can't imagine it saves much on the electric bill in the end, as was explained, either.) Hallway and room decor have clearly not been kept fresh. Vending machines, that worked, leave a lot to be desired. Still advertised in some places as having a restaurant, which has not been true for some time. Location to Islip airport is very good. Staff, at least at night, could be more talkative with a new guest checking in and perhaps have more info then just "use Uber eats or GrubHub" when asked for possible places to eat at late hours. Other online reviews, that i did not see, gave it an average of 2.7 stars. I guess that's fairly accurate.

The stay was wonderful. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The exterior facia looks old. The carpet in the lobby is ancient and buckled. Half of the ice machines don’t work. They have vending machines that are empty. Surprisingly, in the middle of all that is a wonderful pool area and the landscaping is very well maintained. You can see the effort of the staff to keep it alive but you can’t wash away age and decline, especially when it was never high-end even its heyday. If you need a place to stay for the night and you’re on a budget, it’s close to the highway and main roads, and usually both heavily discounted and available. If you’re vacationing or staying more than a night, I recommend it.

Upon arrival driving from n.c. I arrived earlier then 3 pm and charged 50.00 for early arrival. Outside the side entrance multiple plates with food rotting in the sun. Place needs a serious upgrade.

Check-in was bad. Very slow. Checked in another guest while still checking me in, so I had to wait. He should have completed my check-in before turning his attention to another guest. Clerk told me how to answer questions on the screen. I asked him to stop so I can answer myself. At the end he said there's a $100 deposit. Didn't know what for, or what were reasons I may not get it refunded. Room is old. Needs refurbishing. Bathroom toiletries consist of one small tube of shampoo and small soap. Tub/shower was old. Didn't want to use it because it was in bad condition. Hallway is dimly lit with old carpet. In the morning, one guest was reporting stolen luggage, another that curtains didn't close and someone looked in, and then someone came back inside because her car was stolen. Police in the lobby. Checkout clerk (female) was curt and rude.

There was basically no amenities. There was a restaurant on premises but it was closed. There was a couple of vending machines in the main lobby. No business center. Unable to print anything. Just found it odd as in the name Convention Center. No breakfast. If looking for no frills and clean the Clarion works.

Totally disgusting. Plus -They charge me for 2 nights instead of one.

The outside is dilapidated and filthy. I am a single female, and the room was for myself for 2 nights. I went inside to check in. There was no AC at all in the lobby. The carpets smelled of mold and mildew and were coming off the floor. The man at the front desk was very rude to the older couple checking in. When it was my turn, he was bothered by my check-in. I got my room key. We went to the room. As we walked through the hallways, the smell of marijuana and cigarette smoke was overwhelming. My son and daughter-in-law were with me. As we entered the room, the smell was terrible. The carpet was old and dirty. I went to the window and moved the curtain, and there was blood splatter on the curtains. I continued to look around and found a lot of blood on the walls, mirrors, and dresser. I recognized that this was a dr*g hotel. There was also a dried-up white goop on the curtains and carpets. Young men were standing in the hallways, and women with little clothing on were with them. My son said Let's go ask for another room. We went down to speak to the man at the front desk and explained that I did not feel safe on that floor and would like another room. He gave me another room two doors down. Just as bad. We went back and checked out. He yelled at us, saying we had been there before and knew what the hotel is, implying it's a dr*g hotel. We were never there before. He refused to refund me for the first night. Expedia is impossible to reach. I will never book with them again.

pay the extra money go somewhere else

The room stank of smoke. It was terrible. Plus, there was smoking in the hallways. I had to put a towel under my door to keep out the stench
-
Front Lobby was busy and not friendly on check-in. Booked for 3 people but room was set up for 1... 1 set of towels, 1 coffee cup, no sugar, creamer, tea bags, etc. No pillow and blanket for pull out couch bed.
-
Extremely minimal toiletries. Not good for some one traveling by plane Rug in lobby was raised up. Possible tripping hazard .Very old furniture in rooms Outdoor Pool area was only open from noon till 8 pm. Check in process was difficult for older adults Only one coffee cup in the room Air conditioning was hard to regulate for cooling
-
First off when you first walk in the lobby it’s extremely hot no real ac the vending machines are there but empty fridges are empty everything is empty also the hot water in the rooms didn’t work room was hot ac didn’t work well in the rooms even crappy hotel will not be going back also the pool outside looked extremely dirty and was brown
-
The worst hotel ever. DO NOT stay there. Somebody got inside our room and took my friend’s Carry-on with some of her clothes inside and my other friend’s make-up bag and some money that was left on the table, and the same time a car was stolen from the parking lot that belonged to another guest. We were feeling very unsafe and changed hotel immediately.
-
We had to go to three different rooms to find one with working air conditioning. There weee issues with the room we settled on to avoid a continued search for something more acceptable. Breakfast was included but was only okay. On the other hand, it was much less expensive than anything that looked decent in the area.

ROACH MOTEL. STAFF USELESS. CRIME SCENE. Allegedly this hotel has WiFi. Try and connect to it. Try calling the front desk to ask for help. In-room phone was dead. Had to call front desk from my cell phone. The genius who answered the phone told me to turn my phone off and restart it. I humored him. When I called back and he heard it was me again he put me on hold and never came back. The call disconnected after a while. I gave up on WiFi. In the middle of the night my husband went to use the bathroom and found an infestation of roaches. We left in the morning and had to use the bathroom at Quick Check down the street because I refused to use the one in the room. When I stopped by the front desk to check out, two police cars were out front and two officers were inside trying to settle some sort of dispute. When I complained about the condition of this dump the front desk clerk she had no authority to compensate me in any way as I felt that since this place clearly misrepresented itself I was owed a refund. When I called hotels.com I was told that the property had to approve it. The same person I had spoken to said I wasn’t due a refund since I complained the next morning. How could I have complained during the night when they wouldn’t even take my calls? The “housekeeping” closet was kept open so that everyone could see its contents. There was also trash in the hallway. hotels.com should sever all ties with this disgusting dump.
