Hyatt House Sacramento/Midtown

We had a great stay!!

We liked the property but our room smelled like cigarette smoke. We stayed for more than 4 nights and our room wasn't cleaned at all. We asked the housekeeper for new towels when we ran into her in the hallway. Would've liked to have our bed made and room cleaned up without asking.

Good location, nice rooms, helpful staff

Star Lounge, however is a treasure, and the music provided by the group with a harp, saxophone and cello was a fitting accompaniment to a nice dinner.

Definitely not great value for money. No parking except street and it’s in a busy late night area. Live music venue at the rear plays loud music u til 1am on a Thursday night. Patrons hang out and make noise until 2am. The room was dark and backed right onto live music venue. Fridge stunk like it had mold. Shower door is on an angle so won’t stay closed. Toilet seat was broken. Just awful. Spend your money elsewhere.

We really liked the room and staff but we weren’t told anything about breakfast which was supposedly included in our reservation.

Walls are thin so noise level was a little high when people were going down the halls.

What a great place to stay in Midtown. It’s close to so many fun thing. The hotel itself is beautiful inside and so clean. Everyone is incredibly helpful. And the breakfast being until 10 am on the weekend is amazing so you don’t have to rush so much!!

I came in town for a concert at Harlow's. This hotel is less than one block away from the location, which made it the perfect place to stay. I was upgraded to a room that included a kitchen, which was very nice of the staff to do. They said I'd be more comfortable with my two dogs! I was on Floor 2, which is part of the original brick building, so the room had an exposed brick wall and was basically soundproof! Some of the higher floors are a built-on addition and don't look as authentic. The AC unit was so quiet I could not even hear it turn on. The bed and even the couch were super comfortable. Bedding and pillows were high-quality. And the included breakfast? TOP NOTCH! Eggs, pancakes, tater tots, sausage, yogurt, granola, fruit - and the staff were constantly refilling and making sure everything was hot. Three beautiful parks close by - we loved the rose garden at McKinley Park the best. There is no hotel parking lot and valet is $45 per night. I booked a spot in the Sutter Health garage less than 2 blocks away via Spothero for $30 for the entire weekend. There is also not a good place to pull up to load and/or unload your car. I got lucky and got a metered parking spot on the street to do this. The toilet seat was cheap plastic and kept moving around when I sat on it. They could really upgrade the toilet seats to match the high-end bathrooms. There are lots of nightclubs around the hotel, so on a Saturday night in particular, the scene outside was pretty rowdy, but I could not hear anything from my brick sound-proof room! Quite a few unhoused people in the park across the street and surrounding area, but this is part of Sacramento, like any big city. No one bothered me - many commented on how cute my dogs were. Finally there is a pet cleaning fee of $100 per night. This is a little steep, especially when you have dogs that do not shed. My two-night stay cost almost $1,000.

Beautiful hotel and bar/restaurant, great location.

I love the decor and the ambiance of the bar/restaurant. The moody vibe was an awesome choice.
