The hotel is in a good location, walkable to old town and also downtown and main sights. Car parking is convenient as the self park is right next door and this is the same as the valet option so much better value. Housekeeping was great we had fresh towels daily and bottles of water. The amenities in the room were good, the room itself was a little dark but this was as a consequence of the downgrade so has been reflected in our compensation. Appreciate staff response to our queries

There is no customer self parking. There are public garages very close by. The staff is very friendly. The outside grounds are questionable at times due to it being a prime spot for homeless to sleep, so often there was a lot of trash. Housekeeping needs work. The rooms are not that clean, esp the showers. The rooms need deep cleaning such as showers to be scrubed, dusting esp behind appliances, furniture, curtains, etc. The hotel is never 100% occupied so there is no excuse for rooms to not be on a deep clean rotation so the customer can feel that they are in a clean space. I was not comfortable setting my items down or showering without slippers or towels on the floor. The bar staff is nice and food was tasty. The gym is nice and availability of snacks and supplies is good. If they get better at cleaning, this is a great place.

Stunning boutique hotel right in the center of Old Sacramento Nothing

Every interaction with the front desk was subpar. They need to do better training. A glitch with the reservation became a two day ordeal that has yet to be resolved. Two days of asking for housekeeping has been a complete catastrophe —when they finally cleaned the room, they left no towels and garbage inside the trashcan. It was just absolute disregard, especially after spending two full days back-and-forth complaining on the lack of service. The crew behind the front desk needs training. They could not answer a question straight. They just didn’t know what they were doing. They tried to be supportive, but they were just parroting stuff and/or giving misinformation. I asked for the Manager numerous times and the only answer was the manager’s out for the Weekend. This is a four star hotel. This is just absolute terrible service. I’m embarrassed to be here. Don’t book here go book somewhere else. These people need to get their act together and have some intensive training before they can call themselves a real hotel. I don’t blame the staff. I blamed the manager for absolute in confidence and how he/she trains the team.

Perfect for exploring Downtown and Old Sacramento. Ryan at the property restaurant, Willow, is gracious host and bartender. Third time starting here and will be back again!

great location, great rooms, nice staff
-
Beautiful property Close to everything However they said our corner room was “under maintenance” and “upgraded” our room to what seemed like a dungeon no windows except for some that were more like skylights and unable to locate the switches to lower shades The restaurant wasn’t very good either selection was slim for brunch

Amazing location- central to everything. I was able to walk to all of the places I needed to go. The hotel is beautiful and the staff is amazing. The restaurant is great as well. Highly recommended.

Very friendly staff and cute hotel itself
-
Room was okay, not much to it. The amenities were minimum and not a variety for coffee/tea. We ordered room service the entire stay and condiments were not an option. Our room wasn’t cleaned until after 3:00 pm. You can hear the freeway from your room.

Everything was perfect
-
Overall it was a pleasant stay, only thing I’d recommend is find parking first in the nearby parking garage because all they have is valet and no separate parking for just hotel guests.
-
The Willow restaurant was amazing! The location was perfect to see a concert and right by old town! We had a blast and loved the property. My family is pretty picky when it comes to hotels and this was perfect for us. The history of the building was cool to see and loved how they kept some of the older things to create a cool feel while still upgrading the rooms and making it feel comfortable and new

I am so happy about my 2 nights at The Exchange. All staff were extremely polite & helpful, and parking couldn't be any easier. The bed was so great that I was looking forward to getting back in bed the second night. The room was a great size. The bathroom was huge and had nice modern touch, and the overall amenities were perfect. The Willows restaurant has fabulous coffee and the avocado bowl was so good, I ordered it both mornings. Anytime I am back in downtown Sacramento, this is absolutely where I will stay; highly recommended
