Delta King Hotel

Stayed here for the Tyler Childers concert at Golden 1 Center. Delta king Hotel is great! It was fun to stay on a real boat in a boat cabin. Small and quaint, but a good time. Bathroom was clean. And even my husband said the bed was comfortable, that means a lot! Valet parking only but is was worth it as we were in Old Town Sac and 8 minute walk to the concert venue, even for this 63 yr old lady. The boat restaurant was charming except it was hot in there. Food looked good, will return to eat there in the future. We received 2 free drink vouchers at check -in, that was a nice surprise. We ordered and sat outside of the bar/restaurant as it was cooler outside. Also, the bar/restaurant is not real big so it held the late afternoon sun heat in. We would stay again. Oh! The ramp to access the boat was sturdy newly planked and an easy, smooth walk.

Rooms are a little small, but neat, clean and fun. Good resturarant, great bar.

Well maintained historic hotel is located in the heart of Old Town Sacramento. Hotel has an elegant full service restaurant with good views of the Sacramento River.

Location is excellent. Food in the Restaurant is also excellent. Rooms are VERY Small and Tight. Unfortunately, during our stay, there were many Sea Lions around the boat/hotel. Cool to observe, but VERY Noisy Barking during the night. Not much the hotel can do about the Sea Lions. Book a room on the CITY side instead of the River Side.

Very good

A very unique property, being a converted Paddle Steamer to a riverside hotel. Rooms were small and bathroom tiny, but that was to be expected. Overall a very pleasant stay, with one exception (other than the sealions, who were noisy!) but the hotel cannot do anything about that,.other than provide earplugs - a nice touch! The one exception was, unfortunately the young man who checked us in (sorry didn't get his name) did not give a very welcoming impression at all. He seemed to be just "going through the motions" and not enjoying his job!! Shame that this was our first impression and hence we only felt able to offer a 4 star review.

They also give you a voucher for a few free drinks, which was a nice touch. The price is super reasonable, in fact, I think the least expensive place to stay in downtown Sacramento. I highly recommend, especially if you like unique and interesting hotels. PS, there was a rumor that it is haunted, but I checked out unmolested by ghosts

The check-in and check out customer service was horrible. The valet driver was more helpful and explain the process and how things worked .he was awesome. I have to check in we tried to go to the restaurant to grab a bite but we're not acknowledged it appeared they were trying to clean up to clothes for the night we ended up walking to Joe's Crab Shack. The rooms were very clean Antiquated maybe to go with the theme of the boat but for the price it's not worth it at all

Great place. Very fun and pretty to sleep on the water.

Also, there USED to be a table & chairs at the stern of the 4th deck (where our room was located), where my wife & I would sit & enjoy an adult beverage whilst watching the boats, & the sunset, behind the backdrop of a beautifully illuminated bridge - that table & chairs are no longer there. Overall, NOT the immensely enjoyable experience it once was, so we will not likely return until, AT the very LEAST, the SEA LIONS are GONE - those noisy mammals are a TOTAL DEAL BREAKER, at least for us...

Upon arriving we were given two complimentary drink vouchers for the bar. The bar was really cool with comfortable bar seating and outdoor seating. The rooms aren’t huge, but my husband is 6’2” and got around just fine. The shower size worked for him and, even though small, had instant hot water and great pressure. The toilet flushes with a pull string, which I found whimsical.

I liked staying in something with a great history. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The staff was not terribly friendly but they were not rude.

one of two were a little grouchy which was a shame. It spoils it for the others xx
