The Smart Stay Inn

It was great. Pool ,spa, good staff and great food highly recommended.

However no hidden or extra fees so I like that because I’ve had bad experiences with other places

Breakfast was the same every day, but it had lots of options. Hot breakfast with eggs & sausage, cereal, yogurt, toast, oatmeal, bagels, fruit, coffee, and juice. We were able to get a table every day. We had a king suite upgrade because we were on an anniversary trip. Room was comfortable and nicely equipped. It was nicely located right off the interstate and it was less than 10 minutes to all the main parts of St. Augustine. It was about 15 minutes to the Walmart. Pool area was really loud. Our room was down on the far end, so it wasn't too bad. I would have hated to be right in front of the pool. But, I guess it comes with the territory of outdoor hotel pools. Our door had a large gap in it and we had lots of creepy crawly visitors every day. But the room was clean. Maybe they need to put a brush guard or seal upgrade around the doors.

Loved my experience all I can say is I felt safe & welcomed even by people who were staying here. I needed a quiet place to feel safe & this place is low key a great spot to rest when needed & the pool and jacuzzi really makes it really worth it! They also have a dog area if you have a fur baby family member 😉

Easy access to the highway and also close to St Augustine. Price was very good.

Facility meet all my expectations had no issues for the price. I loved this place would stay again and recommend to others

I loved everything about this sweet little motel except one thing. Some of the outlets in my room didn’t work. Not really a big deal. The staff was fabulous, the room clean, breakfast tasty and a nice pool and hot tub.

That said, Kid in front of me at breakfast buffet literally took HALF of the sausage links. HALF. Like 10-15 giant sausages. Not lil small sausages... almost hot dog size. Took them back to his table where I saw his mom and dad had an entire plates (multiple) of eggs and potatoes. Just thoughtless people ransacking the buffet. Chrissy at front desk was super sweet and helpful.

As soon as you step in to check-in, you are greeted by a smile, you are given the key to a clean room that has clean soft towels, soft pillows and enough toiletries. After a relaxing sleep, you wake up and head to the breakfast room where eggs, waffles, sausage, coffee, cereal are among some of the food waiting to be consumed. Give it a try and enjoy your time at this hotel that is within 2 minutes from the I-95 expressway. I'll be back!

Everyone was nice an professional

Boys with us and they were entertained the entire time while at the property. I was ecstatic to note there were NO cigarette fumes coming in the AC the whole time we were there. The property is exceptionally clean and the rooms were comfortable as well. The staff were knowledgeable about local “things to do” even off the tourist path. We had a truly great time here.

It had an old school vibe, like something out of an 80’s. Movie. It had the pool and playground in the courtyard. It also had a fenced area for you dogs to hang out in. The beds were more comfortable than the Hampton inn we stayed at the week before that cost three times as much. Nothing really. It wasn’t a five star hotel but I did not pay for a five star. It had everything anyone would need while staying out of town and then some.
