Shilo Inn Suites - Salem

The room was clean and the staff was very nice but the hotel was under construction. That was something that wasn’t mentioned but everything else was ok.

The room was spotless and the staff was very helpful.

It was awful! Constant what sounded like partying going on all night, doors slamming, people walking the halls at 3am playing loud music, we had no idea that the 4th floor was under construction. The lobby smelled like smoke, it was just an all in all bad experience and we will not be staying here again!

The hotel has a history of criminal activity which includes the murder of a 22 yr old woman yet it didn't have adequate door locks. Its website shows a pool and gym which are no longer available. There is no breakfast or even filtered water. The elevator smelled like urine. There was scum under the soap holder in the tub. It's actually fairly easy to see that the organization is either bankrupt or well on their way to being so. For the sake of your own well-being don't book a room here. Pay the extra $35 or so for safety and filtered water.

Love the hotel will go back and love it so much. It was great time. Big spacious rooms amazing.

Under construction

7/12/26 currently under renovation which they need and are past due however it does not state that when booking. No breakfast and pool is down for construction. Understandable but you should be warned of that before booking and price should reflect that when there are several option across the street that do offer those amenities. Overall I think it will be a great place to stay when they finish.

I booked and paid the high price seeing that there was a swimming pool and hot tub with a hot breakfast but when I arrived, they said they no longer have a pool and there was no breakfast. They said those were days of the past and they changed everything because they wanted to turn it into a suite the room was filled with empty cabinets And a sink. And I paid the high price for the room with amenities that is not what I receivedI would not recommend coming back to this room until the hotel suite is complete with renovations

The place is old and showing its age. They are undergoing renovations but it will take time. Everything was worn down.

I would like to say that Hawthorne I believe thats what his name was , was so helpful and friendly. I accidentally choose the wrong check in dates and he fixed it and got me and my baby girl into a room. Im so thankful cause after driving 10 hrs we where pooped. The rooms where really clean and the air on worked good. Parking was pretty full but they did have an overflow lot.
