A delivery truck comes every other day to deliver products to the braums store next to the room I was in. The problem was that the refrigeration unit on the truck is a very noisy diesel engine. It woke me up at 4 in the morning and stayed there for over half an hour unloading its products which made it impossible to get back to sleep. Tina the nite clerk said the truck comes every morning at 5am and she could not do anything to get the driver to move his truck. I asked the owner the next morning why was I put in my room when the noisy truck showed up in the night. She just said she didn’t know about the truck and that and no one had complained about noise. Unbelievable!! The noise was so loud and long that others had to have interrupted sleep. I could not get back to sleep for several hours and the owner would not even compensate me. I stay in hotels about 30-40 nites a year and always have given a 4 or 5 rating. This is my first rating of 1 I have ever given. I would never return to this property and there are numerous other hotels nearby to choose from

Rooms were comfy and clean. Cheap. Smelled bad upon entering. Hallways were dark and poorly lit. Bad lighting choices. Some cheap upgrades to the lighting would be a big improvement. Pool seemed well maintained, except for the outside door which was a major security hazard.

Easy access from I-135/I-70. We traveleld with a pet, and there were adequate places for walks. Not much in the way of food nearby except burgers.

The elevator didn’t work. None of the rooms were ready upon check-in. Every door in the hallway was open a cinderblock secured the door into the swimming pool area. That’s not very safe for children the lobby all the way up to the second floor smelled like rotten eggs the entire time we were there The front desk staff’s boyfriend sat in the lobby for her entire shift.

It’s an ok place, nothing special. Our room wasn’t ready at check in time but I think it’s because they are short staffed which is totally understandable. We had a wedding to go to so it was ready by the time we got back. Breakfast was good.

The evening lady at the reception desk is quite accommodating and friendly, always with a smile. We had a refreshing shower of the night.
