Hotel SLC

Clean rooms Construction in the lobby blocking stairs and elevator with loud grinding and jackhammer noises throughout the whole day.

Except the rooms are comfortable for a family of 4 I didn't like the way the staff treated us when we were checking out and found a spider and a toy.

Hotel was under construction. No lobby or amenities. Bagged breakfasts. Noisy! Could see the hallway through the door frame. Owners did not represent the hotel honestly with potential travelers. Not a great experience at all and needless to say we cancelled our reservations after one lousy night,

The king size room we had was very comfortable! Renovations are wonderful! We thought the bed was comfortable. The blinds are black out and amazing! Really close to Murray North station to get on the Tram that takes you into downtown salt lake! The parking at Murray north is free, and the tram tickets are very cheap. Especially when compared to the cost of parking in downtown! There is not good sound proofing between the connecting rooms. The king room had a door to connect to another room and we could hear everything next door. We got back to our room late after an event the first night (11:30pm) and our neighbors were still awake (of course that is not the issue). We could just hear their entire conversation through the door, and the tv etc. So, we had to leave our tv on and the AC on constant fan to help mask the sounds. That did help until they went to bed. Pillows were flat, but we did not feel the need to ask for additional pillows.

The staff was very friendly. We were only there for a short time. Just basically to sleep and shower. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. There wasn’t a coffee maker in the room.

The entire lower level is in shambles from construction. Like, piles of rubble you have to walk over to get to the elevator. It was scary before I saw the room. The rooms are redone and really nice. However, the shower and mattress were the best I've ever had in a hotel. We arrived late and left early so I didn't get a chance to use any amenities.

Breakfast was a bag lunch, due to the construction going on. Construction made leaving a challenge as we had to walk around the roped off area, they were replacing the roof on the entrance.

The room was nice, beds very comfy, the surrounding area was nice. Just the distance from my event.

Rooms are amazing! The renovations, but property will be amazing when done.

Exceptional

Nowhere on the booking page did it mention that the hotel was under renovation. It was quite dusty, affecting the lobby, elevators, and even my room. At the price I paid, it was disappointing. Had the price reflected the renovations and been halved, I would have been more satisfied.

The entire hotel has been under construction since April and I am very disappointed that this was not disclosed when I was booking the hotel.

Not ready for pets and no handicap rooms. Would not recommend this place to anyone
