Friendly staff, room was clean. The room is starting to look shabby with peeling wall paper and stained carpet.

I loved the retro feel. The energy there was amazing and everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. I am told that it is going to become a Hampton and I truly hope they leave the same style intact. Modernizing it would be the wrong way to go. One room was definitely cleaner than the other. I stayed two separate nights and though each room was clean, the second room was definitely cleaned with more detail involved.

Location close to my conference. No hot water. Incredibly loud mechanical noise from elevator consistently every few minutes all night.
-
Location to the Riverwalk made this a great choice! I did not like the excessive parking fee so we parked at a public parking site.
-
Nothing stood out to it
-
Everything was broken, there was feces in the hallways, the doors didn't close correctly. There was nothing good about this hotell we didn't even stay one night. This place is not safe, rotting floors, feces in the halls, broken doors. Stay away

Nice location. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable. Staff was very friendly. $32 per day for parking was a bit pricey!

Nothi f The room The location
-
The location is near the Riverwalk and the staff is friendly The wallpaper in the bathroom was falling off the wall and the guest parking lot has some large pot holes.
-
Staff was friendly, understaffed, coffee shop not open as expected, room kept clean and supplied. Maid left room unsecured all day by putting the latch to hold door open, when I got back to room at 5:30 it was still open. It was closed when I left. Self parking was closed for two days, when had a Red Cross convention and the start of the Rodeo.

Hotel was easily accessible. Great staff. Breakfast choices were great. The price was excellent even with charge for parking. El Tropicana is a best kept secret. I am recommending to all I know that will travel to San Antonio. Update in bathrooms. Commode was too close to wall. Sink had cracks, yet did not leak. There was a mildew problem around grouting in bathroom. The room was very spacious and comfortable with exception of too light of covers. Our unit was not heating.

Due to a snowstorm, I was unable to attend, and they didn't give a refund.
-
Everything. It is very comfortable. The floor level. I would've liked to be higher.
-
Iâ≢ve been by this hotel a few times and thought it was kinda retro looking so decided to stay this trip. The property was clean and everything was in working order. The staff was nice enough to hold my luggage as I had a later flight out and on Riverwal
-
price too expensive.
-
It was clean but old and far from the Riverwalk action. Too far down the Riverwalk and $30 per night for parking is ridiculous!
-
Very clean room and nice staff N/A
