Hotel Valencia Riverwalk

The location was good, on the quiet part of the Riverwalk and close to everything. The staff were very friendly. The hotel is a bit dated and could use some updating and cleaning, but bed and pillows were good.

Everything was great, from the staff,food, room etc etc I would give it an A+, 10 out of 10 or 5 stars ⭐️

I have asked for a lower level because I am phobic and have a fear of heights. They put me on the 10th floor. Additionally, they charged me almost $90.00 for valet parking. Valet should be complementary for free and then you tip. Not get charged and tip. Also they scratch my passenger side mirror on my brand new 2026 vehicle.

Upon walking in, the hotel looked beautiful! However after an exhausting day of treatment walking into the room, it was not cold. Thinking maybe it’s bc it was so hot outside, I lowered it down to 60. Maybe after a shower it would be nice and cold. However it wasn’t. After the shower I checked the bed and I was extremely disappointed with the condition it was in. The bedding had multiple yellow stains(looks to be a huge pee stain), that had simply been covered with a mattress pad, and I even found candy stuck in the carpet and all along the mattress/railing. I have allergies and am very sensitive to cleanliness, so I was not comfortable staying in this room. This is not what I expected from a luxury hotel.

It was quick stop for us and the location was amazing. We were able to walk everywhere on the riverwalk!

No pool, beds are twins not queens like most hotels and not worth the price when you consider what we paid for our two rooms. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend if you have children who enjoy a swimming pool. Elizabeth specifically wasn’t very helpful but the rest of the staff was very kind. Maraud at the valet stand was amazing and so was the rest of the staff.

All of the properties that are part of the Valencia group continue to astound me with the level of service and professionalism. This hotel is conveniently located, quiet, and with excellent food.

Perfect stay at the Valencia Hotel. Everything is within walking distance. Fabulous suite—pristine condition! Both the restaurants and the bar are excellent. They accommodated a large group on short notice. Service was top-notch. Thank you!

Staff was great. The property vicinity to the Riverwalk was amazing.

We booked a room using Expedia and the hotel had no rooms!!! It took an hour chatting with someone to get it refunded!!

Very beautiful and historic hotel. Walking distance to many restaurants and stores. Mini fridge in the room. Would stay here again.

My latest stay was a bit disappointing. At 5pm check-in, we were told that housekeeping was still working on our room. I was fine. I had just booked it that morning. Then, I overheard them tell the next guest behind me the same thing. Strange. We finally get our room almost an hour later. The next issue was we needed a fridge for my insulin and drinks and the fridge in the room was full of purchasable drinks. No problem. Sign says to call front desk and ask for one. I called. Never came. I called again. Never got it. We ended up having to leave for dinner reservations. I also called to complain about a couple having a shouting match in the hallway that was scaring my daughters. Just not a great experience this time around.

The hotel is immaculate, wonderfully located and the staff…well the staff were absolutely amazing. From the door, to the check in to the bar/resturant, they were all amazing. The only thing I would mention is that on a Friday or Saturday night, people love to cruise San Antonio in crazy loud vehicles, so because the hotel is located so well, it can be aggressively loud late at night. There’s nothing the hotel can do about it, but it’s worth knowing if you happen to be looking for peace and quiet.

The staff was phenomenal with helpful hints and recommendations. The restaurant and bar in the hotel itself were perfect. Eating on the terrace overlooking the riverwalk was perfect for breakfast or afternoon tea and cocktails. The room was very spacious and comfortable. I will definitely be visiting again.
