Staybridge Suites San Antonio Lackland AFB Area by IHG

The only disappointing experience was discovering a bag of trash left in a kitchen cabinet by a previous guest four days into our stay. Additionally, while the bed was comfortable, the pillows were flat and should be replaced. It is also worth noting that the placement of the elevators and the distance to some rooms may be inconvenient for certain guests. We were on the fourth floor, and once we got off the elevators, it was a long walk to the room. Despite these things, the pros outweighed the cons, and I would recommend this hotel to others and will stay here again.

Very helpful staff during our last-minute stay due to a power outage. They let us check in early, helped us make a reservation for 2 extra nights when CPS told us it might take days for our power to be back on, and then graciously cancelled it when we no longer needed it. Our dog was accommodated with no problem, and breakfast was great. The hotel looks new and is very clean.

Big suites. Pool is nice. Breakfast personnel are amazing. Hallway did smell like potatoes. lol. Don’t know why, maybe the kitchen since we were on the first floor. But then yet this was around 4 pm so no breakfast was being cooked. Walking distance to 54th street bar and grill.

Rooms are clean and spacious, facilities are too. Great breakfast and great staff! Will definitely stay again.

This weekend for the 4th of July we checked into a room that already had guest staying in it and received absolutely rude and disrespectful customer service from manager Arlene in return. She was already rude upon initial check in as she would not address me as a female checking into the room for my boyfriend and I as I was the one who paid for the room. Rude faces and eye contact were made several times as I was ignored repeatedly as she proceed to talk to my boyfriend instead of me despite taking my ID and credit card, not his. Then we proceeded to be checked into a room where guests were already checked into. Upon going downstairs again to fix the error, the rudeness increased tenfold despite it being her error. She kindly spoke to another guest next to us while simultaneously ignoring us as she processed the request. She appeared to have made that error with that guest as well and the customer service between him and I as a female was starkly different. He was offered a fixed rate for the error with lots of apologies where as we got the complete opposite. Even my boyfriend acknowledged the rudeness and how she would not acknowledge me despite being the one booking the room. It was incredibly sad to see that the other regular staff on duty we interacted with were significantly kinder and overall better at their job than her. Do better Arlene.

Great overnight work stay.

Could not sleep some nights because of non stop stumping noise from the guest from the next floor. Even with the complaints it still didn’t stop. But overall, I enjoyed my stay.

Room was dirty, bathroom was even worse, hallways smelled like wet dog, one elevator didn’t work & the one that did work was disgusting. Floors creaked in the room. Power went out in the middle of the night one day. Had to turn the lights in the kitchen on so that the rest of the lights in the room would work. Would NOT recommend.
