Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, San Carlos, CA

We have stayed at the Country Inn and Suites for many years now and have been very comfortable. This time, however, we were disappointed to find that the pool has been closed permanently and so our grandsons were bummed that they could not go swimming. Not sure why it is being closed. Also, one other thing we are missing is at breakfast there used to be some salsa condiments and there isn't any now. My husband really missed that. Otherwise, we liked our stay because the rooms were very comfortable and we like watching the train go by outside our window. It was quiet and the beds were comfortable. Wonderful staff who were very helpful and friendly!

One of the front desk staffs' performance is surprisingly poor compared to the others. He is cold, unfriendly and indifferent to the guests. I understand where he is from. He doesn't hate guests but also is really not suitable working in the service industry. Due to the negative impression we didn't book another three nights with this hotel.

Clean room

Parking was excellent

Had a very bad experience. Breakfast was good, but next door room man was screaming and swearing expletives. Told staff and they wouldn't do anything. Female out in hall looking upset. Hotel needs updating.

Breakfast is excellent, free parking is nice, and the room is clean. I accidentally booked an accessible room, and the staff were very kind and moved me to a regular room.

This is a surprising gem that is extremely quiet although tucked between light rail tracks and a busy street. Clean room with very comfortable bed and pillows. Daily housekeeping without having to request it!!! Decent free breakfast (and they use good teabags not just the cheap stuff).

Great, comfortable place.

Great place to stay! Room was well maintained and very clean. Breakfast was a bit lacking and the food wasn’t hot. Great place set up to dine and relax during the day. Staff was welcoming every time we passed them.

The Country Inn is reasonably priced for the area but is everything but a country experience. Nearly everything is made of a type of modern plastic including the flower arrangements. I could find nothing reasonable for breakfast so that claimed advantage is nonsense. Our room was quiet so that was good, but I would rate the room as a poor man’s Marriott as the rooms look the same but the country inn is way lower quality in every respect.
