Hyatt Place San Carlos

Good complementary breakfast.

Very thin walls, I could hear people in the room next to me, above me, almost every step someone took in the hallway. I could hear full conversations. Breakfast was disappointing, food options were limited. Bar open but not kitchen at 11am.

Like the room nice! Very loud from third floor & screaming kids running up & down hallway!

Super easy access to parking garage, staff was very friendly and breakfast was great! Will be staying here again!

Cons: no pool, not much outdoor space Pros: comfortable, clean, quiet (we had street facing windows and didn’t hear a thing), decent free breakfast, parking is easy, covered, and a few bucks less than other hotels, there are car chargers. Loved the restaurants and farmers market within walking distance.

Great place, new and clean.

dining area seems small. every monring was full over the weekend. no tables available. fruits were empty out quickly.

I've driven past this place many times over the years whenever I'd visit the Bay Area and I can't believe I'm now just staying here. The place is clean, staff are all friendly, and it's conveniently located. The area is also really quiet even though it sits on El Camino Real. Plus, the free breakfast was delicious. Will definitely stay here again.

I would give this place 0 reviews if I could. The day of our check in, I unfortunately needed to go to the emergency room for an injury. I called promptly to let them know the situation. The person I spoke with from the hotel said they would approve issuing a full refund, however I would need to contact Expedia because that’s where I booked from. I spent hours the next morning going back and forth between Hyatt and Expedia with no one giving me an answer. I finally received an email the next day saying that Hyatt would NOT honor the refund they initially told me I WOULD RECEIVE. I called to complain, it sounds like the manager, Hien, would authorize a partial refund. This is clearly upsetting that I have to go through these lengths when I was told I would get a full refund. Anything for the hotel to keep some money. Horrible service. I would not recommend

The rooms were really clean, well-styled, with plenty of space. Staff was incredibly polite and helpful. The breakfast buffet was pretty good too, and it seems like some of the menu changes daily, so you don’t really get tired of anything. My only knock is that the road noise from my room, located (of course) on the side of the building along El Camino Real, kept waking me up even with ear buds in. Other than that, great place to stay and I would do it again, but maybe on a different side of the building.

Good food

When you check in they require a $200.00 returnable deposit which seems excessive, but it is a new property and this morning we had the best “breakfast included” at any hotel we have stayed at. We will be returning to San Carlos every 5-6 weeks to see our grandson and we will stay here.

Very nice and clean They offer parking but you have to pay for it and they don’t say anything about when I make the reservation
