Baymont by Wyndham San Diego Downtown

We were excited for our trip to San Diego. It was an overnight trip for a concert at Petco Park. This hotel is within walking distance. When we arrived, the front desk person checked us in. Our room was on the first floor next to the dining room for free breakfast. It overlooked a roof top with air conditioning units. The room itself was clean. It was missing towels, toilet paper, and toiletries. My husband called the front desk and he was hung up on. As he was walking over to the front desk he saw a housekeeper and was able to get towels and toilet paper. The room was clean. Bathroom layout was odd. If you were anyone of large size, this would be cumbersome. The bed was not comfortable but had plenty of pillows. The next morning we went in for the complimentary breakfast. All carbs. Waffles, pancakes, toast and bagels. No maple syrup or syrup available. There was honey tho. I didn’t even bother with the beverages as this just felt like a joke. Bring your own breakfast. Better yet, check out and go somewhere else.

We reserved the room a month in advance for 5 people. when we got there it was not available we were forced to get two separate rooms to accommodate everyone it was just a bad experience

The continental breakfast was subpar. It consisted of plain bagels, waffles, pancakes, and white bread. No fresh fruits. No pastries. We liked the location since we could walk to wherever. It isn't enough to have us stay again.

The location was great. Parking was reasonably price for downtown San Diego. Fairly close walk to Petco park

Cleanliness. No microwave order than that it was fine.

The breakfast choices were few and disappointing. But a nice hotel for the price and a good location.

It was very central. The staff was friendly. Breakfast could be improved, sometimes they did not really fill up the containers so there was less breakfast available (e.g. no jam, maple Sirup, yoghurt etc.). The rooms could be a bit more clean

It was a great room with a comfy bed. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was also a good breakfast. There was also a great Italian restaurant across the road. Nothing really. I would have liked some hangers in the closet. Without transport it's a long walk into town but I'd been there so I already knew that.
