Berkshire Motor Hotel

Room was very clean and the location was great. Walking distance to North Park and its breweries. Staff was very nice. Some traffic noises as it is located right on the corner of a busy street. Recommended and would totally stay here again.

This is a great, smaller hotel close to about everything you could need. My room was clean, in top-notch condition, and had great included amenities. And the bed was wonderful! Communication prior to my stay was excellent. I will definitely stay there again.

The location is perfect! It close to everything, freeways, restaurants, downtown, shopping centers, grocery stores…everything!

The manager was a gem. So friendly and extremely helpful. The parking situation that truthfully is not their fault and out of their hands to find a better solution.

Good location, very clean, comfortable

Room was a comfortable, clean space which was a good value for the price. Parking is limited, so it’s up to chance if you’ll get a parking spot on the property.

Staff very supportive but didn't have extra pillows. Overall, a great stay.

Coffeemaker & fridge in room was appreciated. Yes, parking is limited but we were lucky & parked easily at property. We chose Berkshire for price & location ( near Lafayette Hotel & lots of breweries) & walked everywhere. We'd stay again.

Doors wont open sometimes and parking limited

Property was very accommodating to us with an early check in and room was nice and clean. Noisy people woke us up at 4am with stomping on the floor

Convenient and clean Bed and pillows were very comfortable

Very minor complaints ... room could've used a microwave oven, and the bathroom sink was very small (easy to splash water all over, and bump your head on the wall if you're just washing your face). Read reviews saying parking was limited, and it is, but I always was able to park in the motel lot ... and there is plenty of street parking, if you need it. Would I stay there again? Absolutely!

A clean and cost-effective place to sleep. The clerk was friendly and efficient. Parking is a major problem.

Great location and excellent rates. Starbucks and Denny’s very close by. Clean, spacious and great A/C. The only downside is parking. There are 6 spaces in front which were occupied while I was there, otherwise it’s neighborhood parking which is more available about 5 - 6 blocks away. Easier to find a spot before 5PM, when everyone gets home from work. If arriving later, plan to double park for check-in and unloading, then search for parking.

I like staying here because it's central to North Park and Hillcrest, and it's clean and has free parking...though it's first come first served with only 6 or so spots. This is a basic, no frills motel. I like that it has mini fridges in the rooms. But no microwaves unfortunately. The other downside (at least for me) was the TVs are older and don't have Airplay or screen mirroring capabilities. But HDMI worked so bring a cable if you need to cast or stream. Other than that, it's just a great little basic, clean, updated motel that's convenient and not too expensive.
