Best Western San Diego/Miramar Hotel

The carpet was so filthy is was black. But beside that, everything was perfection.

Carpet flooring in the rooms was damp/wet. When I stepped in the bathtub, I could see black water coming through the feet. Dingy flooring.

La alberca la quise usar pero no pude debido a que estaba cerrada y no avisaron que no estaría disponible. El personal fue muy atento y aamable, el desayuno me gustó mucho, los 2 días que me quedé ahí fue diferente.

However, there were several things that could be improved. The bathroom was very small, making it feel cramped. The shower was difficult to use because the water temperature constantly fluctuated, it was either too hot or too cold, with no comfortable middle ground. In addition, the walls and windows didn’t block much sound, so we could easily hear noise from outside, which made it harder to rest. Overall, the free breakfast was appreciated, but the cleanliness, room comfort, and noise level left room for improvement.

I wasn’t sure how to get the tv to work and the front desk was helpful!

It was nice clean place to stay. The only downside is the walls are thin so u can hear people outside and the freeway.

Property clean as well as rooms. Breakfast was great. Only negatives are (1) entrance into room has a step-up and can cause a fall entering and exiting, if not careful and (2) the toilet is very low.

Great free breakfast and friendly service!

Unfortunately, the rest of our stay was extremely disappointing. I was traveling alone with my daughter, so safety was my biggest concern. The room door was not secure—the security latch actually came out of the door when I closed it, making it feel like it could easily be forced open. I even have a video showing the latch coming out of the door. The door was also cracked where the latches meet, and the damage looked as though it had been kicked in at some point. Seeing that, combined with the loose latch, made us feel very unsafe. The condition of the room was also unacceptable. The carpets were extremely dirty, and there was no hot water during our stay. Friends of ours who were staying in another room at the same hotel experienced bed bugs and cockroaches and ended up checking out early because of those conditions. Breakfast itself was okay, but the experience was not. As breakfast was ending at 9:00 a.m., a staff member was clearly trying to rush guests out. While we were still seated at our table finishing our meal, she began spraying cleaning solution around us and accidentally sprayed some of us on our arms instead of waiting for us to finish or move. It felt rushed and unprofessional. Because of the safety concerns and overall condition of the hotel, we chose to check out early. I cannot recommend staying here, especially if you’re traveling with children.

The room was never serviced during the three days we were there and the shampoo and soap they provided was minimal and ran out after the first day. The AC unit is so loud it kept us awake all night and the exterior noise was insane. It sounded like people were bowling in the exterior hallways every time someone walked by. I don’t know if the dates resulted in rooms that cost close to $300 a night, but we were traveling for business and we rented 8 rooms for two nights and we were extremely disappointed with what we got for that kind of money spent.
