Best Western San Diego Pacific Beach/Mission Bay

Parking was free. Breakfast is shocking, hardly anything to eat. You have to use you room key to enter, but someone had let a homeless person in by accident. As there are no staff present, he ate all the sausages, downed loads of milk and downed as much liquid as he could. The girl that checked us in was stupefied. Honestly, trying to get any info out of her was like banging our heads against a brick wall. Not a great start to our stay in san diego. The location isn't great either as you're in the middle of nowhere so need a car to get around. The place is a motel with the swimming pool located in the car park. Lots of local workers use the place as digs. On our last night there they had a party till late, woke up to sick all down the side of the wall by our room. Not the cheapest either.

The staff is very helpful, except when the shampoo and conditioner bottle are empty, we asked to refill but they didn't. Other than this, it is good place to stay.

The Front desk staff. Professional and helpful. The room was filthy. Bugs in the room and the place wasn't clean. Hair on the floor dust around the headboard and the floors looked like they never been mopped.

Budget friendly stay

The staff was very attentive and the cleaning crew were very helpful! The hot tub didn’t appear to be working properly as it was not hot but everything else was great!

Great spot. Would definitely recommend. I got a good night's sleep here. They have black out curtains and AC and comfortable beds.

Was decent, the floors of our room were not flat, the laminate was puffed up. The beds are comfy but the room they use for the breakfast is very small and can get crowded easily. I don’t think I’ll stay here again because there are a lot of shady people and transients lurking around.

The staff were very helpful and wonderful. My daughter and I enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was very nicely put together as well! Close walk to the water and an easy drive to Sea World.

It took 12 minutes for someone to come to the front office to check me in - there were 4 of us waiting. No tissues , wash clothes or coffee cups. Same thing next day. They are under staffed. Tipping did not help!

Exceptional

We didn't spend to much time in our room we were out all day and just slept but our room was okay the outside was a bit disappointing compared to the web photos. Overall okay outside can be better kept.

Close to our destination. Only inconvenience is that we had to wait about 15-20 minutes for someone to help us check in. There was no one in the office when we arrived. Someone finally checked us in

The location of the hotel was VERY close to grocery stores, eatery, and local sites. Upon entering the room it smell musty and moist. The ac worked fine but didnt seem to pull air from outside. Had to open the door and windows to let fresh air in to circulate and get rid of the smell. Also felt like a room freshener was used to mask that. The room seemed alot larger than photos.

Can't think of anything Ad said close to beach walking distance. It isn't. I was supposed to get roll up shower cz I had knee surgery didn't get that. I was supposed to get 2 queen size beds. I endedup getting that. The smell in the room was not good. Swimming pool in parking lot was not good.

Property and rooms were clean. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was ok but it was exactly the same every day. Pool and hot tub were clean but we wish it was opened later, but 9pm was not unreasonable. We would definitely stay again.
