Our overall stay was good. Room was nice. Loved the patio and easy access to the pool and beach. But the beds were totally uncomfortable. They are not pillow top mattresses. They were the hardest beds I have ever slept on in my life. Will defiantly be making a trip to my massage therapist this week! Also the pool was way over crowded and not clean.

Great trip! From start to finish!

They should disclose they are gonna place you above a fir put. Our room was so Smokey .Our clothes were stinky and it was not so relaxing. If I wanted a campfire in my room I would of went camping.

It’s not 4 stars hotel standards.

First time we stayed there and it won't be the last.

The rooms are gross! Dust still in bedside table- glass tables had hand prints still. As you walk into the hallway the carpets are dirty. You can tell they dont vacuum often, this was an indication how the rooms were. We stayed at room 310 it's gross. When you drive up dont expect a bellman to greet you. You must walk in to front desk. Restaurants close at 9pm dont think about room service anytime after that. 9 broken off tiles in balcony_ we stayed at Bayside view. Just gross. Ill never stay again. Staff did acomódate my towel needs and pick and play.. they were nice but it was not worth the dirty interior.

Family friendly, Ocean view

When I spoke with the front desk, they were not concerned about the room not being cleaned and stated, “not sure what happened there but you can put own trash in the hallway.”

Our family enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. Maintenance wise.. one of the jacuzzis was not functioning and there is no one monitoring capacity. Also, there was a stain on our carpet in our room. Expect the pool to be full during summer break. Otherwise, the hotel is a great place to relax and enjoy family time.

I paid for my room in full ahead of time ($858) and was told I'd only owe an additional $158.64 — a refundable incidental/damage hold that's standard practice. So when I checked in, I expected that to be the only charge. When I checked my bank account, I found a charge for $1,454 instead. I'm guessing this isn't an isolated incident, either — another guest overheard me dealing with this and mentioned he'd been charged $2,000 on top of his room cost. It's hard not to wonder if this property is counting on guests not noticing extra charges like this. Two of us noticed in the same day, so apparently not everyone misses it. Charging people more than they agreed to and hoping they don't catch it isn't just bad business — it's the kind of thing California's consumer protection laws exist for. When I brought it to the front desk, they couldn't explain the discrepancy and suggested it could be "fixed" when I checked out — four days later. I told them a quick call to my bank could resolve it immediately. Sure enough, about 30 minutes later I got a text apologizing for the overcharge. They released the hold and corrected the charge on the spot. On top of the billing issue, the pool and hot tub area wasn't well maintained throughout the day. With as many guests and kids using it, they really should be cleaning it more regularly. Between the overcharge and the upkeep, it wasn't what I expected for the price.

The hotel, staff, rooms and service are ok but the location is awsome.

Only one restaurant all facility and closing 10pm

Awesome experience. Always our go to spot for Southern California.
-
Personable staff. Large, well-appointed room. Great view. Extra fees on top of room price disappointing.
-
The only downside was the bed wasn’t very comfortable and you could hear a lot of noise in the room.
-
Great stay. They were kind enough to change our room as we didn’t like our previous room. Stayed for 5 night!!

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. We were in the large block of hotel rooms on the 6th floor. The room was very clean, but the toilet, while it flushed, made a very loud noise. It took 3 trips to the reception desk (one per day) to get it taken care of. (I did learn there was a new system, so that might have been an issue.) They comped our resort fees because of the trouble, which I thought was excellent. I didn't have to ask for that, so that was also a bonus. The food on-site is delicious, the pool was clean, minus one hot tub, and the service was a little on the slow side, but maybe that's the California pace. All our servers were very nice. I will say, it says on the resort amenities that there are beach chairs and umbrellas, but these were not out in the bay area.

The room was fairly clean when we first got there. The resort looks a bit dated on the outside and the resort fees are quite high for a location with just one central pool. A decent experience, but not anything extraordinary.

It’s older feeling. Our room smelled kind of like an old musty smell but it was decently clean and quite large. Bathroom felt newer. Only thing was the nice big couch faced the same direction as the tv so you couldn’t sit in the couch to watch tv so that living area didn’t get used as we always had to sit on the bed is watching tv.
-
Another downside was that the reception staff didn't seem to know about the events taking place at the hotel, making it difficult to get information during our stay. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, but for the price, I expected much better attention to cleanliness and service.
