No parking, had to park like 2 blocks away

No one around to help. I had to sleep in common room on couch until 8:10 am when someone got up to set out breakfast. Poor guests in my room had to deal with my alarm going off at 6:45 am……..

The breakfast left a bit to be desired, but the staff more than made up for it. Especially Santiago and Bailey, two super cool kids who took the time to help make this old man feel young again. The relaxed atmosphere and chill people made it an unforgettable stay. Thanks guys!!

Great location and vibe. Parking is street parking so the usual in sd. Nice big kitchen and chill outdoor space.

Really good place for solo travelers.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The space was fine with the exception of the room temperature- the a/c was not adjustable & it was very cold!
-
Wonderful staff- friendly, eager to help if needed. Danny was especially engaged!

Two staff members stood out. One was a young named Julia I think She was Hispanic and very nice Liked to wear black clothes. Second was a young man named Danny or Denny. He was super cool. I’m probably older than your typical customer I’m 61. Both of them were very friendly and tried to include me in anything they were doing the time I was there. Including watching World Cup and MMA and playoff basketball in main room and eating with them and in any games they played. It was my first visit to hostel and I really enjoyed it

Staff was amazing and the location was perfect The description of private on site parking only applies if you book the very expensive private room. No privacy curtains and every surface was sticky from being touched and not washed. Picture makes the pool look way bigger and cleaner than it is.

The beds have curtains! So nice for privacy when sleeping! It's also right next to the beach. Parking was pretty easy, I was able to park on the same block every time I came home. The shower needs repair. There is a water leak which has been there since March, still not fixed. One night I tried to shower and had no hot water, maybe because the leak had drained the hot water heater. The beds have a metal panel separating them from each other. If you touch them just barely they make a loud sound like a crashing cymbal, wakes up everyone in the room. The ladder to the upper bunk is round metal bars. Easy to climb with shoes, hard to do in bare feet or socks. Would be great if they had actual flat steps like a real stepladder. Breakfast was good (bagels & cereal), but often ran out of juice and almond milk after 9am.
