Great experience with our stay

There were SOME pros. Location was walking distance to the ballpark. Lots of bars and good restaurants nearby. All the staff we encountered were very friendly. However, ultimately extremely disappointed with our stay. Would go somewhere else next trip.

The hotel staff were amazing! The property is just a little outdated for the price.

I booked this hotel specifically because it stated that it was pet friendly and had a pool. The pet fee per night was the equivalent of one nights stay at the hotel, which is ridiculously expensive. There is no pool on the property. You have to walk a couple of blocks to access the pool, which is located inside of a gym. Lastly, parking on the street is about 10$ an hour. So you do the math. Had I known about any of these extra charges, I would have not stayed here. Way overpriced

The location is prime time. Walking distance to everything downtown and the trolly. Rooms are kind of small, but not a problem. The staff was friendly. I would def stay here again.

Had to book last minute after getting stranded by a very delayed flight. Reception was very friendly, and offered a free beverage when I checked in. Hotel room was a bit small but considering I didn't have a lot of choices, I'm not going to complain. Amenities were great, internet worked great. Only thing was I wished there was a mini fridge in the room, as I had leftovers from ordering food. Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay for the short time I was there.

I colleague told me she always stayed here in San Diego because it was so great but that was when it was a Stay Pineapple. A few of the SP amenities remain but this hotel is going a different direction. The people who work there are wonderful but it does not really feel like a SP anymore. I will pick a different hotel next time.

The property is convenient to downtown hotspots. There is no pool. But they have bikes to take out at no charge. It’s quite small but the price is unbeatable.

Great location, walkable to gaslamp, sea front and petco park

The front desk staff were accommodating, prompt to serve and overall, amazing. The location is well within walking distance to the Ball Park and there’s a good historic dive bar on the corner. The elevator was awaiting repair during our visit. The AC pointed directly at the desk chair, which necessitated that we wear sweaters when working on the computer. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would book again for another trip down to watch the Padres.

Great little place to stay with extremely friendly staff. Highly recommend this place.

I believe this hotel is in the process of changing ownership. We have been coming to this hotel for over seven years. This was the first time that the quality of the room was sub par. The beds were always a home away from home feeling. The bed we slept in during our stay felt like a wood plank! They used to have a swedish duvet covers, when we called to request another cover and robe(another favorite gone) the staff let us know about the transition.The elevator was broken the whole time, no sorry signage posted for the inconvenience. Again the staff is helpful and kind but what we have always enjoyed is no longer. R.I.P

Room was neat and tidy. A/C worked great and so did the black out curtains. Nice place to sleep after a long night out

Room was great, location is fabulous for anything going on at the convention center or the gaslamp district. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Especially Sammy.

perfection during comic con

Pictures are deceiving as the pool shown is actually a ten min walk away at a fitness center. We were hoping to enjoy the pool but again the woman at the front told us we could only use it if we were working out at the gym. Okkaaaayyyyyyy. Rooms are comparable to staying in NYC. Very basic. Sounded like elephants were staying above me. Would stay elsewhere next time in in SD.
