Sonesta ES Suites San Diego - Sorrento Mesa

The hotel was amazing, very well accommodating. Staff was helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend this place.

Exceptional

We had been traveling for 2 weeks driving the Pacific Coast Highway from Seattle to San Diego staying in a different hotel almost every night. This was our last stop and was by far the best hotel we stayed in. Very nice and would highly recommend to friends and family!! Can’t think of anything we were not pleased with.

Clean and well stocked room/kitchen. Buffett breakfast was nice. A lot of options for food/groceries close by. We will definitely stay again

Great stay! The room and pool were clean; free breakfast was good! Good value!

One of the entrances, the guest key card never worked and sometimes the signal for the TVs dropped or didn’t connect properly to certain channels. Other than that, it was a great stay! The rooms were very clean and organized. Breakfast service was the best with great choices. I would stay here again!

Everything else: At check in the room was dirty; the table in the kitchen and flooring had debris. The bathtub was gross, the coating was worn and grimy with some black mold. Black hairs all over the bathroom door, none of us have black hair. Carpet in front of the couch was dirty and the electrical socket by the kitchen table hung out of the wall a bit. When we pulled back the sheets on one of the beds there were oily black marks all over the linen that were gross. We called down to have someone come change the sheets but they didn't have anyone to do that so we got them and changed them ourselves. The toilet wouldn't flush unless you held it , the ice maker leaked water repeatedly into the refrigerator leaving puddles on the shelves, the alarm clock made a weird nose so we just turned it off, one of the reading lamps was burned out, and the transition piece between the bathroom floor and the bedroom carpet had a sharp piece that tore a hole in our kid's sock. They did offer a room change, however, we were moving and had tons of the stuff in the room and were exhausted so we declined. We did ask to be refunded for a portion of our nearly week long stay. They agreed but when we checked out, instead of a comp they added charges to our bill. In the end they cleaned that all up but never again

Also, not too happy about all the sneaky hidden fees that are not listed when the reservation is made. $100.00 “incidental fee”, required for check-in, parking fee,and SD taxes raised my total considerably. Parking fee is just ridiculous when it’s outdoor,not in a garage, and there’s a whole grocery store parking lot right next door. Wish these were listed prior to finalizing, I probably would have chosen another hotel.

BED WAS HARD AS A ROCKAS WELLAS TOO TALL NEEDED A LADDER TO GET INTO IT

The room was very clean and very spacious

Room was clean, shower drains slowly, comfortable bed, slept well

Spaciousness, cleanliness and Japanese tasted breakfast Cost of parking, the sign of the dining was not clear for 1st timer. Head next room coughing in the middle of the night. They must have heard my fart. :I won't be able to stay here with my girlfriend.. what do you think.

I like staying in Sonesta suites. However I complained about small ants in kitchen and dinning area but staff did not address the issue during my 2 day stay here recently. Breakfast was good.

Breakfast had nice selection

Everything was wonderful from the CSR to the amenities to the talking elevator. We found our home away from home when we come down to visit our college kid

Great place to stay.

Clean room, safe location, friendly staff. Parking was easy, the breakfast was basic but quickly replenished and kept clean. Close proximity to stores, restaurants, coffee and the Tesla Superchargers. The 1-bdr with a fully stocked kitchen and full sized refrigerator was nice. It would have been nice to have a water bottle refill station in the lobby but overall a good hotel.
