The rooms are relatively small, but I was only looking for somewhere to lay my head at night when I booked. There is NO ELEVATOR, but the front desk person will help with luggage up and down stairs if needed. The room had a working tv, shower, shampoo/body wash, and plenty of towels. There wasn’t really anywhere to put luggage, which was my only issue. The sheets were also cheap and not soft, but I’d take a clean room over that any day! I even spilled water on the floor, and not an ounce of dirt in sight! What really elevated the experience was coffee and water stations available through the day and the beautiful restaurant/bar. The food was INCREDIBLE. I tried the happy hour and breakfast. In addition, all staff members were extremely kind and helpful. The location is close to many amenities walking distance or a short drive.

Quaint and comfortable accommodations. We enjoyed the restaurant after checking into our room. Wonderful bartenders and service staff. Delicious fresh pasta dish on the menu. Finished the evening with a cocktail and bread pudding… must have! After our checkout he had a couple hours to spare and enjoy the outdoor patio.

    Cute, vintage hotel.

Very cute and cozy place problem is there is no elevators so if you have bad knees, I wouldn’t recommend staying there

This is a very charming, historic boutique hotel well located in the Gaslamp district. The hotel and the rooms are clean and quiet. Because it's an old building, the rooms and the bathroom are small. However, the room needed, and should have had a chair. The (king) bed was comfortable. Also, there is no elevator and all the rooms are on the 2nd or 3rd floor. Parking is in a garage a block away but is very expensive.

This Hotel is Gorgeous. They keep the property nice and clean . Loved that its near and walking distance to lots of restaurants .

The room was very clean, the amenities and restaurant/ bar area were very elegant. Located in a prime location downtown near everything.

Check in was slow due to so many people checking in at the same time and only 2 staff to help general guests + hotel guests. Breakfast is not included in room rate but was tasty. Staff service about the area was poor -- basic questions (such as "where is the closest trolley station") were answered with: "I don't know, check Google." Still, I would definitely stay here again next time I visit San Diego.

The food at the restaurant was delicious. But that had nothing to do with the hotel.

The room was clean but there were not enough towels even though we had booked for three people. Staff. Were not helpful in getting more towels and were. It friendly. Parking was behind the building and had to walk passed people shooting up drugs to get the car. The hotel was in the gas lamp but the area was not well maintained. There was lots of noise at night which made it hard to sleep including a dying carbon monoxide alarm that beeped the whole night. Def not worth the money

This is why we won't stay there again. It is not ADA friendly as it has no elevator. There is no housekeeping services. Rooms are very small. No chair. Very noisy all night. There is something down stairs that plays loud music late. Portable A/C that is very loud. Finally the neighborhood is full of homeless with tents and tarps on street.

We really enjoyed the small outdoor seating area for coffe in the morning.

    Exceeded my expectations!

Great place to stay close to downtown/petco

Awesome location, adequate rooms for old, restored building.

The room was clean. Location wasn't the best as it was a bit loud since it was right next to the street. The room served its purpose since we only needed it to sleep and shower. Staff helped us up the stairs with our luggage since there is no elevator. I loved their coffee and tea station that they had. It was available the entire day. we also received a $25 credit that we used for our breakfast at the restaurant downstairs. Really good breakfast! We were suppose to get a free bottle of bubbly wine but we didn't. Not sure if we were suppose to ask for it even though it was on our reservation.
