We had a disappointing experience at 1110. The shower lacked sufficient pressure, making it difficult to enjoy a warm shower. To achieve some pressure, you had to fully turn on the hot water, which resulted in an extremely hot shower. In essence, we didn’t have a proper shower experience. I’m not sure about the other floors, but I strongly advise against staying at this hotel higher floors

The property was so cute it had its own personality! I saw other people complaining about the rooms being small but it was a good size for 2 people. Our only complaint was that the bathtub would not drain quickly so as you showered there was a puddle that went up to about our ankles. Other than that it was a good stay. Would definitely stay again.

Clean room and great staff

My stay at the palihotel was definitely a memorable experience. Although a brief stay, the memories wil be embedded in my mind. As soon as I entered I enjoyed the vintage setup. Takes you back to the early 1900s even the outfits of the front desk staff had a retro feel to it. The staff were helpful, kind, warm and courteous! Then took a ride in the vintage elevator. At one moment they were the fastest elevators in the world. Next I entered the room, it was quite faint but very clean and homey like. The bed was very clean and comfortable. The shower was phenomenal, excellent water pressure, spa like. I could stay there all night. Then I experienced the rooftop bar and lounge area. Great 360 view of the city. Excellently lit, the vintage sign is a classic photo op. The bartender was very impressive and mixed great drinks. When in San Diego definitely stay there.

Do not STAY HERE!!!!!!!

Overall, we were very pleased with our stay. The hotel offered a very pleasant atmosphere and gave a European vibe. The convenience of the location was amazing, so we were able to enjoy walking and exploring. If the both elevators were in working order, I would have given it 5 stars. We will be staying here again in the future.

The ambiance of the hotel was amazing, it feels like an experience instead of the stay. The robes to enjoy during your stay make it feel very luxurious. The room is small and the room doesn’t get too cool so that was a bit of a bummer because my boyfriend runs hot. We enjoyed the convenience of Saint James being downstairs with the ability to bring drinks up

more dollys to carry luggage.
-
My only criticisms is the shower stall (no tub)was incredibly small and cramped, think cruise ship small. Also the A/C was inadequate in keeping the room cool.

Amazing hotel, clean and pretty quiet. The elevator situation was not the greatest. Only 1 works, but otherwise enjoyed.

Let me first warn you that the Gaslamp District is Loud on the weekends. This is a problem at ALL the hotels in the area. That being said, the staff at this hotel were very helpful in finding solutions. They provide noise machines and soft ear plugs for those of us that are light sleepers. Special shout out to Erica! She was the kindest and most helpful front desk receptionist I have ever met. The bar and restaurant on location were excellent as well. The rooms are on the small side, but were very nice. I love the old school charm this place has. Very Classy. The only real draw back is only one of two elevators is working. This can be a real inconvenience if you're in a hurry.

The elevator is slow if your room is on the higher floors like 10th floor or if it is not working for repairs and if you been walking all day like comic-con, getting back to your room should be relieving to get back to not dreading. Took them a few days to repair AC. Had to open the bathroom window to cool off. The valet who parked my car when arrived was fiddling with it because it was on a radio station that I don't listen to. The only best thing about the place is the French Restaurant next door.

Clean room, friendly staff, and good AC, Elevator is vintage/small only issue was only one running during my trip but I get it .

Valet did not help with luggage. Hair in the floor towel when it was unwrapped. 1 of 2 elevators were broken. No complimentary water in the room. Not worth it.
-
Great hotel with excellent staff in an amazing location.
-
It is in the middle of downtown and more down the street, talk about ghetto. Valet was 24/7 and convenient. Staff were awesome. But I probably won’t be coming back to this hotel.

upstairs bar and patio was a nice touch and welcome respite from the day. The fellow running it was super nice and helpful. One elevator was been out of order for at least a month leading to LONG waits. Breakfast was good. Fair price. Good location. Wished the valet was more affordable. Oh, and we got the noise from Gaslamp well until 3AM. Now I know why ear plugs were included. That was the 2nd floor. Higher floors may not be so prone.

Great place to stay. Highly recommend, great location.

Very cute place to stay. The front desk staff was kind, but wait staff at restaurant no so much. Maybe they had a bad day. They will charge you 70 a night for parking with Vallet. Public parking is available but pricy either way. Their roof top bar is amazing!
