We had a fantastic stay at the AC Hotel San Diego Downtown Gaslamp Quarter! The location is absolutely perfect. We loved being able to walk to so many restaurants, shops, and all the entertainment and nightlife that the Gaslamp District has to offer. One of the highlights of our stay was the rooftop bar. It was a great place to relax in the evening, enjoy the atmosphere, and take in the views of downtown San Diego. The hotel itself was clean, modern, and very comfortable. The staff was friendly and welcoming, making our stay even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a hotel that’s right in the middle of everything while still offering a comfortable place to unwind, this is it. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting San Diego!

The rooftop is a great amenity. The pool was not up to par. The pool deck is not safe. The tiles are dangerously slippery.

Bartenders were great but definitely shorthanded on rooftop. In was very busy and only 1 bartender to do everything.

Best location

Clean room and great location. A little loud at night and I kept hearing a dog bark but other than that it was great!

Every thing was good

Overall stay was good, the only thing that was not the was cleaning of the room. There were marks on counters and bed as if someone was just there and was not cleaned after.

We enjoyed our stay - thank you!

I loved everything. I didn’t really like the breakfast choices. Breakfast was a charge per person. The amount of the cost to stay there should at least give free breakfast. All employees went above and beyond the call of duty to welcome you. The valet is expensive but it’s necessary as there is no where to park. The valet service was great.

The bathroom is modern and the shower was very easy to access comfortably. The hotel staff was helpful and informative, as well as friendly. There was breakfast available, but we wanted to wander around the neighborhood and find some coffee and pastries outside the hotel, which was very easy to do. And the location couldn't be better - in the Gaslamp district and very close to Little Italy.

Everything was perfect

Very nice property overall. Pool was small and only 3 feet deep with water is my only complaint.

Beautiful Hotel & Stay
-
The outside was extremely gross loud and full of crack heads wandering around. The windows were original from the early 1900’s and through out the night all I heard were homeless crack heads screaming till 4am then got woke up by construction and garbage trucks because my room was right above the loading dock. Absolutely terrible experience and will never come back. Thank for your attention to this matter.

When we arrived, it took nearly an hour to get checked into a room. During this time, the receptionist told us our room was not ready, yet we observed at least three other guests being checked into rooms ahead of us. This delay caused us to be late for the Dodgers vs. Padres game, which was one of the main reasons we traveled to San Diego. This trip was a gift for my boyfriend, so it was especially disappointing to have part of the experience negatively impacted. We also were not given the room type we had reserved. Instead, we were placed in an accessible room without any explanation. Even beyond receiving the wrong room, the layout did not seem particularly functional or thoughtfully designed for accessibility. The bed was also very uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. Finally, I noticed an unexpected $32 charge on my account that I do not recognize. I would appreciate an explanation for this charge and a refund if it was applied in error. Overall, this stay did not reflect the level of quality or service I expect from Marriott, especially at this price point. Between the long wait to check in, being assigned the wrong room, the uncom
