AC Hotel by Marriott San Diego Downtown Gaslamp Quarter

When we arrived, it took nearly an hour to get checked into a room. During this time, the receptionist told us our room was not ready, yet we observed at least three other guests being checked into rooms ahead of us. This delay caused us to be late for the Dodgers vs. Padres game, which was one of the main reasons we traveled to San Diego. This trip was a gift for my boyfriend, so it was especially disappointing to have part of the experience negatively impacted. We also were not given the room type we had reserved. Instead, we were placed in an accessible room without any explanation. Even beyond receiving the wrong room, the layout did not seem particularly functional or thoughtfully designed for accessibility. The bed was also very uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. Finally, I noticed an unexpected $32 charge on my account that I do not recognize. I would appreciate an explanation for this charge and a refund if it was applied in error. Comfortable bed and pillows. Great rooftop pool and bar space.

We booked this hotel because we were going to a baseball game at 10 minute walk to game, everything was smooth, from the time we arrived to when we left, don’t have any complaints, the roof top pool was amazing

Great room, kind/helpful staff, great location. The only issue was that we stayed on the busy street side and after the World Cup soccer game, the bars/restaurants on the street below the hotel were incredibly loud. The bass from the music next door made it hard to sleep

Pros to the hotel are location to Petco Park. Roof top bar and pool were good. The staff working the roof top bar were friendly and attentive.

In the heart of the night life. Great place to stay if you want to experience the bars and downtown vibe. Once in my room I could not hear any of the night life noise or hustle and bustle. Very close to Petco Park (ballpark) - walkable. Very close to the convention center - walkable. I would stay there again.

Great place to stay, right on 5th Ave…heart of Gaslamp District. Rooms are very nice, comfortable and well appointed. Have stayed here numerous times! Definitely recommend this place when visiting the area!

Look no further. This is the place to book. This hotel is walking distance to restaurants, clubs, bars. It's clean and staff was so helpful and pleasant. This trip was a girls trip so safety was important. We felt safe in and around the hotel. Would definitely recommend and will stay here again.

Very nice

Great hotel with central location within walking distance of restaurants and entertainment. Easy transportation to Petco park, docks, museums of culture and a House of Palestine. Hotel has a bar, outdoor seating and rooftop city view.

Cool location, really friendly staff. Good spot for walking around.

This is our favorite hotel to stay at. It is a fun location with lots to do in walking distance. The hotel is extremely clean and staff is friendly and helpful. The only downside is the room was very small, but it’s not too bad.
