A wonderful experience at the Andaz San Diego. From the moment we arrived with a friendly and helpful staff, to a quiet comfortable room to the excellent rooftop pool and lounge area EVERYTHING was great!

The room was really nice and well maintained. There was an unusual odor on the entire 6th floor however. Large homeless encampments were one block over on 7th street, but where the hotel was located, none were on or in front of the property. Staff were very pleasant and room was cleaned daily without having to ask. Good television reception. Ice was bagged and there was plenty of it. Multiple outlets by the bed and near the desk area. Water was hot quickly. Sofa was comfortable.

Outside is very deceiving with a lot of homeless around, but once you’re inside the hotel is so nice. It’s clean and smells great. The pool is small and very little seating. More like extremely limited seating. But the atmosphere is fun. Fitness room is great! Staff was nice and they allowed a late check out. Parking isn’t great at all. It’s either find your own parking in a garage space somewhere and walk back to the hotel or pay $70 for valet during your stay. We only stayed one night, $70 is overpriced. But overall it was a good experience

The phones in the room didn’t work, the towels were old and worn, and the rooms felt dated. For a hotel that’s marketed as being somewhat upscale, it fell well short of expectations. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and I appreciate that they did what they could, but there’s only so much they can do when the property itself needs attention. The final straw was stepping off the elevator to find a trail of poop in the hallway. While I understand that’s not necessarily the hotel’s fault, combined with everything else, it was enough to make this a definite “never again” for me. The only bright spot was the rooftop—it was actually pretty nice. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to make up for the overall experience.

How clean the hotel was. I did not like how the 1 bdrm was very small. The lighting in the rooms was not that good. No good lighting for pictures and not really any space to take pictures in The full body mirror. Everything else was fine, just might get another room next time.

Nothing Staff are rude, slow and doesn’t respect rules

Outstanding Hospitality and Rooftop Experience. The rooftop experience was exceptional, and the staff truly enhanced it. Zeek, Richie, and especially David, the manager, along with Madison, Angie, and Tesla at the front desk, provided outstanding service—enough that I made a point of noting their names for recognition

Family friendly. Great location. Near lots of restaurants and activities.

Sink faucet was leaking. Shower was having problems. The room had poor lighting. The pillows were extremely stiff. All other Andaz’s I have stayed at have been great besides this one.

I really enjoyed my stay here. Everything was very organized and the place felt fancy without being over the top. The staff was very nice and helpful, and the valet service made everything easy and convenient. I also really liked the restaurant and rooftop bar — they were definitely highlights of the stay. Overall, a really great place and I’d stay again One thing I didn’t like was that even though dogs are allowed, there wasn’t really any designated dog area outside like most places usually have. It wasn’t a huge issue, just something that could make the stay more convenient for pet owners. I also noticed that the room I booked online wasn’t exactly the same as the one I received at check-in, but the room was still very comfortable and overall I still enjoyed my stay
