Excellent place to stay

Poor location, but Costco is nearby. One window over looking an alley.

I work out 3 = hours a day . I need a fitness center. I book hotels by the pictures of their fitness centers. I am very often completely disappointed by the reality of hotel fitness centers. I can make do with very cardi or weight resistance tools. I went to the Hampton Inn fitness center located on their lower lever. Upon entering the room It felt as if it were 100 degrees. I saw that the central air was not working, but there was a portable a/c unit running at 62 degrees and exhausting all the hot air right back into the fitness room. It appears someone had pulled the exhaust tubing from the HVAC return in the ceiling. I went to the front desk and asked if they could have a maintenance person re-attach the exhaust tube to the ceiling HVAC. they were unsure and I thought to myself that they would not fix the situation as has been my experience at the Atlanta Midtown Hilton ( they told me to buy my own personal fan and bring it into their hotel fitness center, because they would not fix the a/c issue in their building - thEY also advertised a roof top pool that had been closed for two years). HOWEVER, TO MY SURPRISE, THE WEIGHT ROOM A/C WAS FIXED IN 5 MINUTES! The maintenance person was even there on site and rechecked the exhaust again during my workout and the following day! THE HAMPTON INN REALLY SHOWED MY WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS. THE HAMPTON INN REALLY CARES ABOUT THEIR GUEST SATISFACITON AND EXPERIENCE. THE HAMPTON INN CARES ABOUT THEIR HOTEL. It was the cleanest hotel I have been in since 2020. I thank you all for making my Hampton Inn experience a 10/10. Nothing it was perfect. They even had vegetarian food options in their concierge store for late - late night snacking!

Nice location Wish the guest could come straight to my room with permission rather then going down to let the guest in.

Very close to union square and transit. We stayed for an event that was transit accessible and that was important to us. The hotel itself was friendly and well staffed. Area around the property has a decent number of vagrants so just be on the lookout. Generally bad vibe in the neighborhoods surrounding this place. Complimentary breakfast while appreciated is on the bad side but luckily there is plenty of surrounding restaurants.

Staff were always friendly and helpful! Breakfast was clean, well stocked and orderly. Room was clean and comfy. The surrounding area was a little rough... but it was conveniently close to the BART, getting to/from the airport was a snap. I'd recommend and would consider staying here, but hold out for a good deal if ya can.

Love it, except for the coffee was consistently not good in room or cafeteria.

The bed in my room was poor. I could feel the springs in my mattress and did not sleep well. The staff was also very poor when it came to my service dog. They were treating her as a pet although their website states they are ADA compliant. The guy with the glasses was making me uncomfortable questioning me on my disability which is very illegal and they can be sued. The staff who checked me in forgot to activate my keycard, so I got stuck in the elevator because it wouldn’t let me out without scanning an activated card. I was scared and wasn’t let out until later when another guest used the elevator.

do not stay here please do not stay here you going to have to pay the deposit to get in once you leave they're going to tell you you going to get your deposit back you are not going to get your deposit back that's chop it up to the game they going to act like you was a nobody they do not recall you they do not have reservation that you even stayed at the hotel throw it all away I tried to get my money back and they acted like I was a nobody so please don't stay here you going to be very disappointed and I'm still waiting on my deposit in which they act like I never stayed there

Not a great area but safe hotel a key was required to access the hotel entrance

Room was much smaller than the website suggested, with a view of a brick wall 10 feet away. I had to upgrade at my own expense to what I thought I had reserved
