Lovely older hotel in the heart of downtown San Francisco. Easily walkable to transportation, the ballpark, and Chinatown. Very helpful staff and the rooms were very clean and well taken care of. Breakfast that’s included at the cafe next door is delicious!

My only complaint was the air conditioning in the hotel. It turned on but it felt like there was no cold air coming from it so the room was super hot and we couldn’t open the windows either due to it being super hot outside too. Other than that the staff were super nice !

Had a mouse come straight out of the room as soon as I i opened the bathroom door. The garage attendant was short and rude

AC did not work well

Staff was amazing and it was in a great location! Beds were very comfortable and it looked very well maintained for a one hundred year old hotel.

The Pickwick offers great value to families visiting San Francisco. The hotel is close enough to walk to Oracle Park. The area surrounding the hotel is fine. You can walk to Target and Trader Joe’s. The hotel is older but has charm. Don’t expect everything to be perfect and you’ll be happy. Also the breakfast add-on was fantastic and totally worth the money. The cafe next to the hotel provided a wonderful menu. It was an absolute treat that exceeded our expectations.

We loved it went for 4th of July. Nice rooms, we added breakfast to our reservation, was great. Close to everything. Will return.

Clean rooms nice staff

Great location and cozy place. Walls are thin so take your ear plugs
-
The building ans rooms have lots of character since its an older hotel, but everything was clean and the staff were all really nice.
-
The valet attendant was pretty rude at times. The shower curtain did not properly cover the shower, so the floor would get wet. The only helpful person was the front desk attendant.
-
clean and helpfull personal
-
Mala proganda no dan el servicio que dicen ofrecer y menos con las habitaciones
-
Hotel staff was nice but parking staff were rude no good customer service at all and the parking lot was dirty, employees should be cleaning instead of being on the phone, on top of it all outrageous prices.
-
Clean room and easy to come in and out the hotel. Parking was a bit pricey but had no issue leaving and entering.

Room cleanliness throughout multiple nights can improve

We discovered that our daughters had sent a gift to the PickWick and called and asked them to hold it overnight as we weren't able to come back then. They said they had it and would save it. The next morning we went back and I was dropped at the front door (which was locked at 9:30 am) and they couldn't find it. After 20 minutes they found part of it and admitted that the rest, a box of candy, was probable taken and eaten by the staff! The man tried to refund the one night due to this, but couldn't and told me to contact the manager. After 2 weeks of trying to reach him, he returned my email. He eventually refunded only $50 even thought his staff stole from us. DO NOT stay here.
