Axiom Hotel

The rooms were clean and the staff is great. My only and BIG issue was the AC unit. The first room I was given stunk in a way hard to explain, like humid. The staff promptly tried to accommodate and offered me to check some other rooms. After checking 3 other rooms and eventually changing to one of those for the rest of my stay, I can say the AC units are their Achilles heel as the only room that didn’t stink at all simply had no AC. Keep that in mind. Location is great, good staff, clean building overall. With all that said, I won’t be coming back.

They overbooked our room type so they had to split my family into two separate rooms. That was stressful for my kids and not convenient. Some of the ice/water machines were out of order. Luggage storage was nice.

Excellent hotel! Was able to store my bags until my flight out and hang out to use the facilities after my check out. Wonderful place!

Was expecting more from the property in general for the price.

The hotel is in the middle of everything, very convenient. The breakfast was very good and fresh. Staffs were great including the staff at the breakfast place. The room service staff were very friendly. The only thing I don’t like is the smell when we got to the room, it smells like dirty mop. Overall is very nice. I would come back again.

Comfortable room, good location, everything just like expected. Nice coffee shop downstairs. No view, window does not open.

Being centrally located in the city. It's easy access to the BART and munni systems. Also it being in walkable distance to union square and areas like Chinatown and North beach.

Inability to din night table lights.

The only thing we liked was the building itself—it’s old, charming, and beautiful. Very disappointing experience. The staff was consistently disrespectful, rude, and unhelpful. During our stay, we interacted with five different staff members, and unfortunately, every single one seemed unhappy to be there and unwilling to assist us with even basic requests. The location was also very unpleasant. There were many homeless people and people openly using drugs in the immediate area, which made us feel uncomfortable walking around the hotel. On top of everything else, the smell in our room was absolutely terrible and made the stay even more unpleasant. The towels were dirty.

A really good place with a nice bar that has all dinner, breakfast, lunch items and frigid drinks for non alcoholic beverages and alcohol

A/C unit was a bit loud.

Amazing location and wonderful staff!

Fantastic customer service by the front desk. My room kept tripping a circuit breaker which turned off the AC and they upgraded me for free to a nicer room. Had to move room due to faulty electrical issue. Also, it’s next to Tenderloin, so you see a lot of homeless and drug addicts.

The location, the atmosphere in the hotel and the robot. The air conditioning.

Good staff

The staff was friendly and accommodating. The location of the hotel was central to a lot of great restaurants. There was also a lot of shopping nearby if that's your thing! The hotel is on the edge of the Tenderloin, so just keep that in mind when walking/planning a route. Our room had a roach in it, but we didn't see any other bugs. The HVAC unit started leaking within an hour of arriving, but they immediately sent someone up to address it.

The portable air conditioners cooled the room just fine but were noisy.

I liked the vibe of the hotel it was really nice and cozy. It was nested to everything, and the hotel was at a very good price.

Busy, loud touristy location. Staff wasn’t that friendly. Room had a musty smell and no central AC. Had a portable AC that was extremely loud and would wake me up multiple times throughout the night.
