Winsor Hotel

Room was clean but this looks like unprofessional business. They are charging extra for water bottle or for holding luggage but there is no rate card and all the money needs to be cash. they can not put charge on creditcard. The neighborhood is horrible and completely filled with homeless. You will get fill on NYC subway like stinky area and you will fear for your life if you are coming back to hotel at 8-9 PM. Hotel also close the main entrance because of this. there is no elevator.

Very clean room and hallways. Shared shower and bathroom was not a problem and they were very clean every day.

The Staff was really nice There was a lot of homeless people outside of the hotel they charge extra for an extra towel the bed had hairs in it when I first got there and the bed was very uncomfortable

had a place to sleep. We arrived late at 11pm. The street was loaded with drugged up people. It smelled really bad and was very loud. Both smell and noise continued in the room. We called the hotel for parking advise (like said on booking) and were told to look it up ourselves. We ended up booking a parking space nearby (30$ for 10h), closest parking is surrounded by said drugged up people, didn‘t feel save to leave the car there. And especially didn‘t feel save to walk to hotel. At check-in we were told only american ID or travel documents were valid. Since we didn‘t carry either we were told to leave. Quote: Not my Problem. After a longer discussion our IDs somehow worked and we were finally able to go to our room. Had to pay 250$ security deposit which are still not booked back a few days after. Worst customer care and hotel I‘ve been to. Highly wouldn‘t recomend booking there.

I like that the room was clean and that I had my own sink and mirror in the room. The size of the room was great and they had good hangers. I also like that there was a ceiling fan for ventilation. The value and price for my stay was affordable. The best part was that the place was very convenient to take the bus and muni. The stop was right around the corner. I wish that the room was attached to the bathroom. The bathrooms were separate and you have to go outside the room to use the toilet and shower. I also didnt like that there was a lot of street noise and a number of homeless and people that had mental concerns outside. Thankfully the people didn't around didn't cause me any trouble and there was a security guy next door. I would also see police a few times monitoring and handling any issues in the area during my short stay.

Good room for the price. Location was crowded with homeless and noise from police from the constant conflicts. No AC, so when I wanted to open up the window I couldn’t sleep due to the loud music, smell, and constant noise from the homeless and police.

Staff was very rude. They didn’t notify that there were us that there was a security deposit for staying there so when we got there, we were unable to stay because I did not have a credit card on us and they were very aggressive about the situation.

Nothing, I never checked in to the hotel. I called the front desk to get my money back and they said I have to call the service I used to book the room. This was my first trip to San Francisco. I saw the price and the photos and was not aware this hotel was in a very depressing area of the city. When I arrived, I told the taxi driver if he knew of another location that was near by to check in. I did not get out of the car or check in. I didn't get my refund back for the deposit. If I do return to San Francisco in the future, I will look for a hotel outside the city. I would like my deposit charged back to my card.

The hotel is very clean - no bugs, no pests. Stuff is very friendly. Homeless people are being pushed from around the area to gather next to the hotel at night which results in a loud party with controlled substance use (people folded in half) and in rap music blasting, police talking to them using loud speakers trying to maintain order, etc.

Disappointing

The room was large, and basic but adequate. The hotel itself feels safe, with an electronic lock and nothing on the ground floor. The real problem with this hotel is the noise. My room overlooked a back alley where there were people staying all night, and playing loud music intermittently for up to an hour at a time into the early hours of the morning, which the windows did nothing to block out. The sirens earlier in the night were also incredibly disruptive.

I was very disappointed. I was not previously informed that there was an absolute two person limit to the room. I was also not informed that a single room deposit to even check in was $250. They did not state that on the website nor was it mentioned through Expedia. The area in which the hotel was located was also a high activity area for homeless to hang out around in congregate. I was very nervous and stressed out even being out of hotel room past 7:30 PM. This is unacceptable and want a refund.
