Cockroaches on floor unfortunately

The room was unclean, had stains on the bed and a used sock under the tv. We asked to switch rooms and were shown 3 different rooms and all the beds had stains. They refused a refund. Elevator was also broken (but this might have just been unlucky timing). Horrendous neighborhood too, would not recommend.

Stayed here before, maybe 6 times since 2018, I know what to expect. This time the room was not acceptable, what looked like blood on the door and a quick clean on room. I think the time of day and the sun lighting the room also brought out the true details. Wife wanted out, but brought cleaning wipes and did a clean. Not sure if I’ll give this place another chance, we will see.

If you need a bed and room during a busy event weekend somewhere that you didn’t plan well in enough advance, then this may be your budget option. But if you have the chance to plan ahead, I wouldn’t recommend it. The elevator was broken while we were there (no idea how long it’s been down before we got there), which really brings down my review as I had an injury and this made it incredibly difficulty. Also I missed the part about the shared bathroom for the floor, and I’ve learned that a private bathroom is very important to me now. The room got very hot during the day and that little ceiling fan really was trying its best. During the evening we thankfully could leave the windows for some cool air, but the noise from the nearby street residents even made that a tough choice. While packing up and putting belongings away at the end of the trip, we found a lot of little trash under the beds and by the furniture that made it clear the room doesn’t get deep cleaned often. The management’s attitude towards everything felt very you get what you get.

This place is nasty, from the smell, to the shower and wall mold and it's thick too. It's literally in the heart of downtown San Francisco with the homeless yelling throughout the night. They clearly do not clean nor maintain the rooms. The pictures are very much deceiving. I already booked the room for 5 days. The front desk guy switched out rooms but the 2nd was a little better. Stains on the bed covers and more stains on the upholstery chair next to the bed. The bad smell lingered for days throughout the whole building. The elevator actually works and they have an "out of service" sign on it throughout the floors. This place is disgusting and will never book here again nor will I recommend it to anyone. Also, it's a $100 deposit cash only and they don't even tell you over the phone they literally have an ATM in the lobby area. I clearly told them I'm not from there and that information would of been helpful. Instead I had to drive around and going to different places with ATMs "out of service". This place is nasty and they clearly don't value their property due to the disturbing room and hallway filthiness.

It was nice

Staff was amazing helped me with a lot while I visited, they were very helpful when I needed an upgrade to my room kept the area very clean. One nice thing about it is that it’s in between 2 small bodega shops so any and all snack & personal items are within very close range of each other.

Great location, but the property was not maintained well.

The hotel isnt that bad, takes awhile for the water to get hot, overall the room was clean. Its a very old building so you cant expect it to be like a holiday inn built in the 90s... the tenderloin is the epitome of trash. The alphabet people dont bother me at all but the drug addicts and dealers and crazy ass people all around that area is enough for me to never want to go to frisco again. The area just smells like s#it and p!ss every where you go. And even though you wont really have any trouble if you mind your business, its not a area id want to stay in ever again... but i will say the staff at the hotel was nice, the rooms were clean and none of those people will be on the premise

The shower didn’t work and the elevators were not working really made our stay not so great. Didn’t like the fact that the staff called me 30 mins prior to check out if we were leaving or staying another night.

Old, dirty and in a very bad location

Look, this hotel is in the Tenderloin. So don’t expect much. Four story hotel and the elevator doesn’t work, etc etc

Felt at home and welcomed by the staff and the family.
