Inn at Golden Gate

Best stay in SF ! Very clean and very friendly. Rooms are spacious and comfy. Would stay again !

We didn't have a deadbolt or any extra lock on our door, just the lock on the door knob. We also could see outside at the bottom of our door. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean.

No parking available. Air conditioner didn’t work that great. Very small rooms.

Very clean, no amenities, no hot water for tea no microwave, but the bed was very comfortable. The room was very clean. It’s a good value for what you pay and it’s an excellent location.

A good value for the location. Parking is first-come-first-serve with additional street parking.

This stay would have been fine, except for the housekeeping staff walking in on me while ignoring the locked door and me shouting "NO, don't come in."

The room very clean and looked as though it was recently remodeled- but nothing fancy. Met our needs for the night and they were able to accommodate an early check-in and late check-out. :) we were able to walk to dinner and had lots of options to choose from The room AC worked well.

The personal it was in a random mod and feel very weird and disappointed

I needed an hotel close to my destination location. Most of the hotels that I use regularly were either already sold out or had raised their prices to unacceptable levels (World Cup). The Golden Gate had some really lousy reviews but it was jus me so, what the hell. I found the place to be OK, clean, almost quiet, but overall I was happy.

Good location. Small cramped room. The room was clean. There is limited parking so if you do not get a spot, you have to find a spot on your own. There is some urban noise and there was some maintenance work being done at the motel so there was some noise at around 8:30 AM. With all due respect (and not the fault of the owners) I likely will not choose to stay here again. Just was not a comfortable stay for me.

this weekend was the escape from alcatraz triathalon and needed a local hotel to avoid parking/transportation hassles for a yacht club commitment. Staff was very helpful and accomodating.

Me and my sister traveling, perfect for us and area, we took uber so we didn’t need parking parking was small bit we still got uber eats a lot.

It seemed like a better place, but hadn't stayed at either before

There was no breakfast provided, which is fine because the room rate was great! I have been staying at this little gem since the '80s, even before it was the Inn at the Golden Gate. I visit the City all the time and I always stay here.

good no frills lodging. great for weekends at the yacht club when doing race committee. quiet. clean. good neighborhood. walkable.

Pros:- Very close to golden gate, public transport is good, waterfront is close, lots of food option near by Cons:- Limited parking, No microwave, small room
