The staff was definitely the highlight of the stay. Everyone was so helpful and friendly and kind —really great service. The hotel itself is quite old and the rooms are extremely dated. No coffee in the room no fridge. The bathroom is extremely tiny. It’s time for a renovation. The gym was extremely disappointing unfortunately probably wouldn’t stay there again.

The lobby looks thrown together and the they don’t even have a gift shop, it is a little nook off the lobby with vending machines. It is really a shame that such a historic hotel in one of the beautiful areas in San Francisco has deteriorated so much.

The food was spot on! Perfect location!
-
Great location. Parking is overpriced and difficult. Food was decent. Great historic property in SF.

The toilet flush button has broken off; I need to open the lid and pull up the flush mechanism manually.
-
Excellent location, quick check in, very clean and spacious room and we enjoyed the restaurant as well. Looking forward to our next stay.

We had an excellent stay here at the hotel on the 4th of july weekend. The staff and service were amazing. We had a wonderful experience and will be back!
-
Great location, nice staff, 3 star hotel pretending to be a 5 star hotel. It needs a major update, everything from amenities, to decor to gym equipment needs a full overhaul.

Great location! Very easy to

The location was the wonderful Nob Hill area. 15 minute walk to Chinatown and North Beach. The room was immaculate and the view was great. Also the top of the Mark has the best view from the 15th floor. A little pricey, but that's life.

The hotel, and our room in particular, was pretty beaten up. The wallpaper was peeling, window was extremely dirty, and the furniture was pretty dinged up. For around $500/night, I expected a little bit better quality of the hotel/room. The front desk staff seemed more interested in talking amongst themselves than being helpful to guests. I will not be staying here again and would recommend for that price others look elsewhere.

Wayne, our server, was the best!!

Hotel is old and not well maintained. Staff are friendly. For the price there are better options out there

Loved the location! The history and little museum was fascinating. Very old world classic luxury! The historical architecture and marble made you feel luxurious.

Stuff was great, hotel was clean and nice. Only minor complaint, no fridge or coffee maker in room. They offer coffee delivery to roool in the morning for a fee, but didn't know until it was too late to order. This was new since the last time we stayed. It would of been nice to know before hand. And luckily we didn't need the fridge this time, but we did have need of it in the past. Hopefully it was a temporary thing. But overall, we always have a good time at this location.

Love the history of this amazing hotel. And the Top of the Mark is the crown jewel for the City by the Bay. Simply beautiful.
