The property & room was definitely nice. The staff was nice & friendly. The parking situation was horrible. Over and hour and fifteen minutes for valet to bring out car to us at checkout.

Best deal in San Francisco. Good prices, great location, good lobby bar and breakfast buffet, and awesome views. Our favorite hotel in the city and we have stayed everywhere. Walkable to all locations with tons of restaurants around it.

Loved the hotel and its location. It's right where all the cable cars go through so you can use the cable cars or within walkable distance to different attractions. Be aware that the hotel is located on a hill but use the cable cars. Staff was friendly and helpful. Although parking is expensive, I like that it was on location and safe. Only one elevator was working but they are in process of fixing the other elevators and upgrading them.

Great hotel if you want to catch the cable car or walk to China town for Dim Sum. The rooms are big with nice comforts.

When we returned later, our room was ready and the receptionist showed us to the luggage room - she opened the door and ushered us in as she walked back to reception. As I walked into the room this angry little man literally chased us out the room and had a go at us for walking in, even though the receptionist had shown us in and held the door open. He was still muttering under his breath as he brought our cases out. Not a nice start at all. To the room, we had a corner room (room 521) with an adjoining door to another room. During our first night, I had to call reception to complain about the person in the neighbouring room (519) as he was on a call on loudspeaker at 1:30am which woke me up. This was dealt with quickly by reception. The next night, said neighbouring guest returns with a ‘lady’ friend. It all kicks off at 11:30pm as the go at it hammer and tongs (albeit for a relatively short time). I complained to reception as I’m not having a second night of interrupted sleep. Very soon after, I hear someone chap at their door to tell them to keep it down - rather concerningly, no checks to ensure the ‘lady’ was a guest or signed in, in the event of an emergency.. The room was a decent size but there is not much sound proofing between rooms and the windows don’t do much to block outside sound - sound from the traffic is so loud it feels like there is a window open.

Great location!

We have stayed here multiple times. We love the location. The staff is very helpful and caring. The rooms are quite roomy for SF standards. Did not eat there, although the breakfast options did look tasty. Lots of tv's in the bar so you can't miss the game. The one knock I can come up with is the valet retrieval does take a bit of time, but it's SF, and all the parking garages are not on site. Overall, because of the location, the staff and the rooms, this is our go to place whenever we go to SF.

I'm glad I upgraded to a city view room, it was the best part of the room. My room was spacious and comfortable. The bar was lovely and the bar staff were great. I found there wasn't much sound proofing when I was in my room. Mostly, the hotel was quiet but one night I was woken up to the guest in the next room talking on the phone at 2am. I was disappointed to find there was next to no bathroom amenities. Only soap, body lotion, shampoo and conditioner. I would expect in a 4 star hotel to get more than that. There was no robe or slippers which I feel usually comes as standard. I was very disappointed by the breakfast offer. I pre-paid $50 AUD each day for breakfast, to find out this meant I could only choose from 4 breakfast items and was not allowed to have the buffet. The breakfast cost $30 AUD, if I had of just ordered on the day. I feel ripped off and would not recommend pre-paying for breakfast. There also wasn't many staff at the front desk, you were often waiting to be seen. I would not stay here again and would try the Intercontinental next time, which is just next door.

We opted for a premier king room. The view was exceptional. The staff was so helpful, kind, and accommodating. We will definitely be back!
