Love this hotel..... newly renovated, great location, beautiful rooms, staff is exceptional. Love the bar and restaurant....a little tight and the martinis could be bigger but a class act! Highly recommend!
-
The rooms and service and restaurants are outstanding- Quimby (Q), Leo the concierge, Ari the bellman, the entire valet team and staff were beyond welcoming. A minor note that the pool/steam are not available to hotel guests without booking a spa service. It is a wonderful property and we will be back!

Great rooms. Perfect location. Beautiful hotel overall. Wish we had more time at the property. We'd love to stay again.
-
it took me 6 tries to replace the coffee machine and the second one didn't work either, + hotel double charged me on the stay. Staff is friendly but the hotel is brand new and not a good operation
-
The lobby is the best part. The bar is the best. I have dignity there. That is the only spot I feel being proud of a Chinese. The white peoples there show great respects for chinese

The property is beautiful and has only been open one month. I am confident these small issues will be resolved the longer they are open.

After a long hiatus, the Hunington is back, and thanks to the owners and Ken Faulk, the property is as it was in 1980 but with the addition of a lobby bar and understated elegance in the all new rooms and interiors. The Big Four looks like it was never touched. I never imagined an old hotel that everyone loved could have been brought back so elegantly.

Perfect location, perfect staff. Incredible experience. Get facial if you visit the spa!

Location tops in SF on Nob Hill. View was great of Nob Hill, Cathedral, Park, PUC, pre war apartments. Room was fresh and modern as was the bathroom. The closet had a nice chest of drawers on one side, robes and slippers. Nice wooden hangers. Iron, ironing board. The TV was easy to use as was the phone. Though not as quietly elegant as the old Huntington, the hotel still retains the aura of a private club or fully attended apartment house. The fitness center is large, windowed with views, well equipped for cardio and strength but could use a good table for stretching and prone exercises. A clock would be nice. There is an elegant separate spa with a pool which I didn't use. FOOD/Drink, in the Big Four restaurant, was excellent. Coffee excellent but see below. I had dinner, breakfast, and a late snack. I very smart bar and cafe is to open at the opposite end of the lobby from the famous Big Four restaurant. The room was not well-designed. Instead of a nice table and a couple of chairs in the window, or a desk and chair, there was a large, ostentatious mini/coffee bar. No place to sit except the King-sized bed. The bathroom had a couple of hooks but no towel racks. The nice shower had no safety mat on the marble floor, very slippery. They were skimpy on amenities. Bottled water in the room was not free. In The Big Four, the service was slow and in a couple of instances, lacking in polish and attention to detail. For example, in such a place, one shouldn't be addressed 'you guys' or asked near the end of a course 'still working.' As an American, I like my coffee and dessert together. If the dessert takes some time, ok, but don't bring the coffee out alone to get cold.

Hotel advertised pool and jacuzzi but you cannot use on weekends unless you book a spa treatment. Lady who works at front desk couldn't give a st. Spent a lot of money and could not use facilities. They should post online that not available on we

Our suite was terrific...spacious, bright and welcoming. And the views were spectacular. And employee at the front desk was extremely helpful when there was an issue with the initial room allocated to us. She rectified the problem swiftly and efficiently. The blankets were not comfortable & our initial room was meant to have "stunning views" but actually faced a tall wall of the next door church. However, when we informed the hotel staff, they promptly gave us a large room with panoramic views of the city.

Fantastic staff who were friendly and without any attitude. The Big 4 is one of the most amazing bars/restaurants I have ever been to. It's like stepping into 1890's SF. Worth every penny. The people I have met there over the years on multiple visits: A++ No mini bar and limited room service over night but the hotel makes up in ways most places fall down.
-
Lovely staff who were so accommodating. The interior design is simply horrible. We had only been in the bar previously and had no idea that the furnishings would be so inelegant. I understand having some fun in decorating but this is too much.

Clean, neat, high class comfortable, personable staff The pool area staff need to be much more welcoming to teenagers. My kids were made to feel very unwelcome in the pool area.
-
Friendly welcoming staff. Upgraded room to a lovely suite because they knew it was my husband's birthday. Very classy thing to do. Great bar/restaurant as well. A real joy! Not a thing not to like about this hotel. I highly recommend.

Great bar in restaurant, my room upgraded upon arrival, simple check-in, valet, great concierge, wonderful bellman/doorman: Ullyses! Originally decorated rooms with windows that open. Very spacious. The smell in the rooms was some sort of scent that appeared to mask another smell. It was overwhelming even after windows opened; I requested prior to arrival, no down because of severe allergic reaction to feathers: there were six down pillows in room
