Mayflower Hotel

I Didn’t like it.

Stayed at this historic hotel for four nights with my family and had a great experience. We loved using the elevator. The rooms and property were very clean and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast offered was a little basic but still appreciated being able to eat before we started our day. Was in a convenient location, close to public transportation or within walking distance to several areas we wanted to see.

The staff, especially Anna at the front desk is so kinda & helpful during my entire stay. Their continental breakfast is the best I ever had on all my hotel’s stays so far.

Everything was amazing! Anna at the front desk is truly the gem of the Mayflower. The hotel is very comfortable, and the location makes it easy to walk everywhere. I’ll definitely be coming back!

A quaint older hotel, it had all we needed for a great long weekend. Breakfast was typical fare- waffles, hard boiled eggs, bread and pastries; perfect for fueling up for a day of exploring. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

I liked the fact that we had a microwave and fridge. The days we stayed were cold so we didn't have any issues with not having ac. Would come again.

Booked 4 nights in this hotel for my family They walked in, saw the room and building and immediately turn around and checked out, risking all the money they paid. This place is old, smelly, and not worth the good reviews it gets. There are other decent hotels for a bit more money.

Older building and the elevators are interesting but cool. Breakfast was okay. Not many options to eat but it was free and got us started for the day. Next to a grocery store which was nice for quick drinks, food and snacks. Restaurants near by and the pizza across the street is a must. Rooms were older with not many outlets to charge devices. I give it a 6/10 rating.

The room was clean and spacious for its affordability and within walking distance to The Masonic, Chinatown, and several other landmarks. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was very minimal, but the food was fresh.

This is a charming, older hotel in the Lower Nob Hill neighborhood (at least that’s what Google maps calls it). Spotlessly clean and very comfy. Small kitchenette with mini fridge, microwave, sink and utensils. Plus a nice neighborhood market next door. And the almost new windows open for fresh air, although it’s San Francisco, so probably a little chilly most days. Great for those on a budget. Front desk folks are very helpful. Loved it…and the two elevators are a step back in time!

Cute hotel in a great area

Lots of character. Rooms in photo are not representative. Furniture in my room was just used. Floors not cleaned well. Refrigerator did not work. But, for price, great value.

Very clean and wonderful staff. Would definitely stay here again! The future looks bright for this place!

Every time I come to San Francisco I stay at the Mayflower. My first time visiting I would stay at a different hotel but when I came upon this one, I will stay here every time I visit which is about every 8 weeks. Excellent staff, gorgeous hotel and in a great area.

Great property with very friendly and helpful employees. Rooms are small but adequate. I'd say the only complaint i really have is the location of the bathroom door to toilet lol. Beds were comfy and towels were soft! Would stay here again!

Cool, comfortable, affordable old school hotel (cage elevators!!!) in great proximity to Nob Hill, Chinatown, downtown.
