Kasa La Monarca San Francisco

Excellent location, good facilities and easy system to use to book in

The location of the Kasa is great, very near Union Square. This is a very old building, and it shows. Our room had a very strong disinfectant/cleaning solution odor that would not go away despite our efforts to dissipate it by leaving windows open during the daytime. The property is fine if you are looking for relatively lower rental rates in a good location.

It’s on a hill so be prepared for the walk up

For some reason I didn’t know this place didn’t have AC! However they do include a fan which helps, you can also open the windows and let the wind come in which helps as well. It wasn’t the cleanest however I did think it was vintage, and cute and had a lot of personality. The location was nice, our street didn’t get too busy so it wasn’t too loud, they include ear plugs.

The room was quiet and peaceful. The common areas were really great! I didn’t spend much time there, but they looked really cute. Would definitely stay here again.

Overall it’s a good hotel but don’t expect the consistency of large chain hotels.

My room was nice and quiet the week I was there and I appreciated the kitchen area a lot when I was bringing things back for meals. The staff were very kind and helpful too! I had an issue with the change machine when I was doing laundry, which wasn't able to be fixed when I was there. If this happens, there is a laundromat around the corner that you can use that works just as well that has change machines too. I'd definitely consider staying again if I came back!

The staff were very helpful. The shared amenities were clean and other residents were also cooperative. Would live again.

Awesome room

We had a wonderful stay. The kitchen is in complete setup and we cooked without any issues. The location is very accessible and safe. The staff ,Jason is helpful.

Great kitchen and lounge facility. Laundry available. Jason the employee was amazing.

A good deal for a clean room but the hotel is unattended (zero staff on premise). If you need anything, you must text. For me it was a pain not being able to speak with someone face to face or over phone. But for others this may not be an issue.

Convenient check in + location and nice room all at a decent price. Would definitely stay again.

Absolutely amazing stay. Booked my stay for the next month the very day I checked out. I love this place and will absolutely keep coming back to it.
