Convenient check in + location and nice room all at a decent price. Would definitely stay again.
-
the room is big and the common area is nice the radiator didn’t work and it was cold, also the fridge froze all our food

Absolutely amazing stay. Booked my stay for the next month the very day I checked out. I love this place and will absolutely keep coming back to it.

The room was spacious and very comfortable. We stayed for 5 nights and had a lovely stay. Good accessible location within the city. Felt very safe. The check-in process was quick and easy. The amenities were a great touch, laundry is available at a cost of $2.50 in quarters so make sure you bring coins. The staff went above and beyond. The communal kitchen and seating were spacious and had enough room for everyone. The fridge in the room was broken and froze all our stuff. We turned it up and down but the temp didn’t change. I’d advise to use the communal fridge if keeping certain foods so they don’t spoil like ours. No safe.

Kasa La Monarca is one of the best places I’ve stayed. It feels more like an Airbnb than a traditional hotel. Comfortable, cozy, and without the usual hotel formalities. The property is consistently clean, and every room I’ve stayed in has been spotless. Located at 717 Sutter St. near Taylor St., it’s close enough to Union Square for convenience while still offering a neighborhood feel. Restaurants, shopping, and nightlife are all within a short walk. If you're driving, there are two nearby valet garages: Parking Nexus (840 Sutter St.) and State Garage (818 Leavenworth St.)—both of which allow advance reservations. Street parking is available but can be limited, and it's best not to leave valuables in your vehicle. For food, I highly recommend Uncle Vito’s (700 Bush St.) for pizza and Italian dishes. Matador (679 Sutter St.), just half a block away, serves excellent tacos, great drinks, and some of my favorite Mexican food in the city. If you're visiting San Francisco, Kasa La Monarca is definitely worth considering.

Literally could not check in bc they would not accept a government issued state ID card. Not everyone drives.

The place was nice The common area was lit dark so it was a bit scary to go into but I was ok

Very cute spot

Hotel room is on the smaller side ! It was cute and cozy but smaller than expected. The interior was very clean and super modern, I was impressed. There is no AC so if that’s something that is a must , keep this in mind. They do however offer a fan and heater. Staff is very responsive online which is a plus and anytime check in was perfect for me.

They never cleaned my room even though I asked for it
-
The room and property overall was clean. Location was great, very central and accessible. Great food options close by and convenience stores in close proximity.
-
However, you’ll probably need earplugs to sleep at night because my room is right next to the street, and it gets very noisy, especially the first Saturday night.
-
Overall good for the price. Clean private bathroom. Pillows and comforters need to be renewed as there were blood stains on them. I used the clean pillows though. Overall it does the job. I liked the no reception concept. Using digitally locked keys is secure and smart. All the stores are nearby. Location is good.

Room was nice
-
Large room and bed There is no way this is a 4 star hotel.
-
Nice cozy experience , good location , terrible water pressure /shower and bathroom
-
Should not indicate in your description "4 star" comfort. The hotel is .ore like 3 star. Tv didn't work, no thermostat to control temperature, view of fire escape, no coffee pot, TV did not work (internet out) first day. You get what you pay for.
-
Great location, lots of food and entertainment options

The lighting in the bathroom and overall space was far too dim to get ready comfortably. My girlfriend and I ended up using the living room mirror instead. It would also help to have more shelving in the bathroom for toiletries, as there was very little space to keep things organized. We were hoping for a better experience this time around, but due to these issues, we’ll likely choose a different space next time. We hope the team considers some small upgrades, especially improving the bathroom ambience and sound insulation. For the cost, I expected more.

I like that we have common areas and it close to a lot of bars and restaurants. So not this trip but we have travel on December for new years eve and day and left the 2nd but we left champagne in common area freezer to cool down and someone stole it
