The Monte Cristo

Very cute, quaint, and cozy Bed & Breakfast. The staff was amazing, always courteous and friendly, breakfast was excellent. Plenty of snacks and pastries are available for guests. There is a separate TV / reading room by the lobby with comfortable chairs and is a nice place to unwind. You won't find a better place to stay in this neighborhood.

Everything about this place was lovely. It is in a very safe neighborhood as well. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The freshly made treats and breakfast were incredible.

Lovely stay at the Monte Cristo!

Very friendly staff. The breakfast was lovely with eggs to order, bacon or sausage (pork or chicken) and several choices in toast. Also the buffet has yoghurt, fresh fruit, granola, juice and of course coffee and teas. It is also in an area near several restaurants and coffee shops and across the street from the San Francisco Fire Department Museum. I found my room a little warm even with the window open. The bed was a bit soft. But it really is a charming property!

It was clean, well equipped & quiet. Loved the quaint English charm & the history of the old building. Really enjoyed spending some time in the charming room downstairs where you can just relax, read or watch tv. There’s plenty of snacks, sweet treats & fruits you can help yourself to along with tea & coffee. Such a wonderful place to stay

Slept like a rock. Very comfortable quiet. Great shower heated toilet seat was a bonus didn’t know I needed that lol. Enjoyed my scrambled eggs perfectly toasted sourdough bread and all the fresh fruit.

Great cozy little bnb at a reasonable price in a great area.

The neighborhood is safe with a lot of food options and corner stores nearby. If you drive here, parking is challenging but not impossible I look forward to staying here again in the future.

The absolute best bed & breakfast in San Francisco! Cleanest rooms, friendliest and most attentive staff, great location, most delicious breakfasts and snacks/baked goodies throughout the day. Our son graduated from USF this past Saturday and we’ve consistently stayed here. On our next trip to S.F., just to visit and explore more we’ll stay there again!

The room we stayed in was rather small but the bathroom was nicely finished. We needed more choices for breakfast.

Excellent service, wonderful amenities. You can’t go wrong staying here!
