Personally, I didn't like the place—the smell in the rooms, the bathroom, and the general atmosphere. Upon arrival, I didn't want to stay there; I simply left to look for another hotel.

The atmosphere was incredible — such a fun, unique, and welcoming vibe from the moment I walked in. The front desk staff was so friendly and helpful, especially Declan (I believe that was his name). He was super down to earth, had great energy, and provided amazing customer service that made the experience even better. The room was great, clean, and comfortable. Overall, I absolutely loved my stay and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

Sketchy area. Thin walls. Dirty room. Parking was overcrowded.

We arrived to find an easy parking place and a friendly staff. Upon entering the courtyard, we were greeted with a heated pool of 87 degrees and beautiful mature magnolias trees, palms, etc. There is plenty of seating and the building itself is super cute with artistic flourishes. The rooms are simple, no fridge or microwave, but plenty of ice in the ice machine, nice high beam ceilings, giant windows and very stylish and clean. My fave is the 24 hour tea and coffee in the lobby, the pool open until midnight, donuts in the morning, and the nicest, most helpful hotel staff you could hope for.

Loved the atmosphere and courtyard area! Staff were friendly and helpful too. Clean rooms and comfortable bed.

Guy at the front desk was rude

I love staying here. It is my go to spot for San Francisco. The pool is awesome, there are literally dozens of restaurants or more to choose from within walking/ Lyft distance. Staff are always helpful, and friendly. On site parking. Truly a gem .

This place had parking which was very convenient and upon arriving there, we were helped by the staff and they were very nice and helpful and it was a very good welcoming experience!

Great stay. Super friendly/helpful staff. Can't wait visit again.

The staff was amazing. The room was groovy, older but clean. Being from Louisiana, at first I was shocked there was no air conditioning, however, it was definitely not needed. It was a very chilly evening. The hotel does have a parking lot, however, we paid a $25 fee to park. The pool is heated, although we ran out of time and didn’t take a plunge. The only complaint I do have is the intense smell of weed that woke me at in the middle of the night. Other than than we enjoyed our stay at The Phoenix Hotel.

They let me park early before my 3:pm check-in. Our room was clean, the staff are accommodating. And its near my.target location. None

Cute spot, great location, gorgeous courtyard!
-
Not terrible. Not great either.
-
The aesthetic was amazing. The staff were helpful and friendly as well. Nothing.

I gave this hotel a neutral rating for one reason. It’s in a terrible and filthy part of town. Obviously, they are not going to disclose that, but travelers need to be aware. The hotel is super cute and well maintained, but once you leave to walk anywhere, you are in a very sketchy part of town. Our Lyft driver even asked us if we were sure we’d be ok when she dropped us off.

Super convenient and great rock n roll theme. Friendly staff. Lots to do in the area.
