The room was fine for a one night stay. Wish there was a fan or some way for there to be airflow during the night without opening a window

Staff was ok ...tomos were clean at first after that they dont clean ...untill you ask for ...if you font like homeless around this is hotel is not for you....mano hoteles around

I loved how comfortable the bed was! Nice room, staff were helpful and nice. Convenient location with shops and food nearby. I would stay here again. I wish there was a fridge in the room, especially after a long day it would've been nice to have cold drinks to come back to and to keep leftovers. The deadbolt also did not seem to work and that was a little concerning as I was traveling solo.

Exceptional

The property double charged my card for my room after I already paid in full through Expedia and they said they would refund me, they never did and are refusing to refund the second charge. Then they blocked my number from calling them back.

The rugs were filthy and could use a good cleaning. The may be vacuumed but lots of stains. The curtains were the same way...dirty. Lobby is very nice. A plus is that there are sitting chairs and table on the 2nd floor and the lobby. Very convenient to many restuarants. If they cleaned up the carpets and drapes I would probably stay here again.

Location in terms of distance to activities was nice, but I do not recommand the surroundings streets.... WARNING: They did something weird but I still have to check about this: as many hotels, they reserved 100 USD on my credit card for security deposit. but I realized a few days after check-out that they never cancel that operation and I currently had to pay it! I find it weird that they don't answer any message that I send them, but I also see, now, a mention that the deposit might be refunded in the 2 weeks....let see (as the deposit seems to always be cancelled at check-out time in my experience)

The location is ideal—transit options and major sights are just steps away. The staff is consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful. While it may not offer the flashy amenities of larger chain hotels, I come to experience the city rather than a hotel pool. It is fantastic value for the money and always a wonderful stay!

Very friendly staff The room did not have a refrigerator or a coffee maker and the toilet was very difficult to flush
-
Close to civic center. The hotel smells mold, the bathroom was not clean and smells urine. Bed sheets were dirty.

I book a room for my sister an I pay upfront they charge her a deposit but they also charge me a deposit an they won’t answer phone calls or messages

The hotel was close to everything we needed, parking was convenient, and check-in/check-out were quick and easy.

Property was rundown. Worn carpet, layer upon layer of paint, shower had cracked tiles that were caulked over. Elevator was very small and could not handle the volume of guests and took 5+ minutes to get it to come to the correct floor.
-
The staff were accommodating an helped us check in early. The hotel itself is older and a little more run down than the pictures show.

I’ve stayed at this hotel a few times now, whenever I’m in sf overnight for a show. Look, it’s an old hotel, nothing flashy. The stains on the carpet have probably been there since the 1970’s, you kinda want to wear shoes indoors, and I’m certain many sordid activities have taken place behind closed doors. But the bedding and bathroom are clean and it’s inexpensive. They have a cool old fashioned elevator, and the decor is fun and retro. As far as I know, there’s no breakfast served etc. But there’s an AMAZING French creole spot a few doors down. There’s a parking lot for your car, $30 overnight. I’m always surprised that this place gets 3/5 stars, it’s decent. If you’re super bougie, go somewhere else. But if you just want a clean cheap spot around the corner from the Phoenix, this is your spot.

Didn’t have ac and kind of sheets stain and had to pay for parking 45 per day

The hotel was old with dirty carpet, stained blankets, no air conditioning. I would definitely have paid money for a better hotel that was clean.
