SureStay Hotel by Best Western San Rafael

The motel is in a light industrial area of San Raphael and though dated, the property has been cleanly maintained. Room was clean & bug-free with a nice coffee shop across the street. It’s about the best price for the proximity to Marin & SF. It appears safe but I wouldn’t go walking around after dark. Only complaint: the body wash dispenser was empty, w no bar soap either (luckily I had some in my bag). This place meets my minimal acceptable standard for a motel room.

There was ants all over the room sheets were dirty. Everything else was OK. Vending machine would not accept cash or any type of payment method. Staff was a rude.

Decent facility, a little too close to highway but noise was minimal. Cafes and restaurants in a walking distance and free parking Neighborhood is not the greatest but no threat or noise

I wouldn't recommend this motel because once I arrived they asked for my credit card even though I'd already paid. (He said it was for incidentals - there are absolutely no incidentals offered at this motel). He wanted to write my cc# down on a piece of paper (where anybody could see it). I ended up giving him $100. in cash! Which I did get back, but not without confusion and fuss. Also, the neighborhood is not great and he woudn't let my daughter park her car in the parking lot even though there were plenty of empty spots - pfffft.

My room 108 had mold on the walls and uneven flooring where I tripped . The breakfast was bagels, yogurt, and oatmeal, danishes, juice

No water to bath. Only the toilet worked

Didn’t get a good feeling with it, parking was not sufficient. I left and went elsewhere

The check in was horrible. Owner/clerk was extremely rude. Probably okay for workers but not travelers. No breakfast.

The room served our needs for the night. It was able to fit our family of 7. The beds were great, the pull out couch was bent but didn’t bother us. Though there were many stains on the mattress. Other than that the room was clean and what we needed after a long day of travel. The to-go breakfast was great and easy to obtain.

Not a safe neighborhood, was told a truck just got stolen
