Courtyard By Marriott Sand City Monterey

Brand spanking new feel and smell.

The courtyard is very nice however, guests from both properties drink and party out there until after midnight. I asked front desk to stop the drunken house to no avail.

Great new hotel ! Modern and clean . Nice bar area and outdoor fire pits . Nice parking lot - clean rooms - brand new facilities.

Clean, quite, excellent conditions

Very nice staff and good establishment. Very upsetting we had a trip planned for my girlfriends birthday and we had our room cancelled and had to get another room that was completely different and not even facing the ocean. We originally had a suite king bed with balcony and got downgraded to a guest room king bed with balcony. She was sad we didn’t get the room we originally showed her.

Easy check in. Nice rooms and balconies

The fan in the bathroom stayed on continuously thumping that was a bit annoying but otherwise we really loved staying there. I just think they need to be mindful of the rooms that need maintenance.

Parking fees.

Everything. Beautiful. Clean. Love the events. Love the bar and community feel on lobby area

It is clean new hotel. I would come back next year. It is the best one in Monterey area.

I booked a suite and was dissapointed by the size of the room. It was too small. Also, the refridgerator was the smallest I have ever seen in any kind of room. Also, it never got cold enough.

Nice hotel and staff but for the money not really worth it. They don’t offer complimentary coffee. You have to pay for everything. The TV in my room didn’t work properly the screen was mixed up the whole time I was there and the staff was aware of this issue with multiple other people staying at the same time as I. Definitely will stay somewhere else. Wont be a repeat at this hotel.

When we arrived there were a big party and we couldn't enjoy the facility i was expected to enjoy the fire place and we couldn't, the noise was loud

We stayed for three nights at around $500 per night. The first night the hotel hosted a rap music party in the courtyard. It was very crowded with party guests, so we were not able to use the lobby bar or Bistro, lots of guests came for the party and they do not have a dedicated space for them. So the hotel guest are simply out of luck if they want a beer if a sandwich. Also the music was rattling the walls of our room until after 10:00 PM. The second night did not have a party, and the hotel was lovely. The third night, the hotel hosted another party. Again, so crowded we couldn’t get a bite to eat. So we left and got dinner, and then when we got back there was not any parking because of the party guests! The front desk did not care. She said we could wait in line for a cocktail at the bar. So my wife did, and it took 45 minutes to get her drink from the lobby bar. The rude bartender said that the party guest paid $250 to attend. Well I paid $500 for the night, but they do not care at all about the hotel guests. At least notify reservation holders in advance!! As a frequent traveler to the area, I probably will stay in Monterey moving forward.

Room was super clean and hotel was brand new. Housekeeping did not visit. New towels would be nice.

I didn’t like that housekeeping never came by. We kept our room tidy, however, additional towels and toiletries would have come in handy.
