SureStay Hotel by Best Western Seaside Monterey

The ac smelled moldy. The room felt very wet and humid. You could tell that this hotel needed a lot of work and they were using "band-aid" methods of fixing thing and it was just terrible. This room cost us almost $400. When in reality it looked like a room that charged by the hour. Very disappointing. There was no coffee in the room and for breakfast they brought out frozen waffles. But in photos online they show an actual waffle maker. There was no fresh fruit. The TV in our room didnt work. All around it was an awful experience and we couldnt wait to get out of there the next day

Area was nice felt safe. No one bothered us. The property was quiet as well. The room was dirty. My son’s feet and legs were black from crawling around. Staff stops working at 10pm so anything overnight you’re on your own. Parking was bit tight.

Everything was clean. Staff were great. Easy parking. AC worked great. Centrally located and a short walk to some nice restaurants. Short drive to Aquarium and other attractions.

Premade stuff, nothing fresh. No coffee maker in the room. Coffee maker were listed as part of the booking, but it was not there. Floor was not clean, bathroom is really old and doesn't look maintained. They don't have conditioner or even a pen to borrow.

The room was clean. The mattress caused me significant back pain. The AC was SO LOUD we could not use it. In general, the hotel was very loud due to loud guests and loud street noises, but I realize that cannot be helped and would not hold that against management. However, it took about 15 minutes to get hot water in the shower. How do you not have hot water? Also disappointed in the breakfast selection... the front desk attendant was very nice though.

Convenient place for a short stop A few nice restaurants are close by Easy to park your car Despite the breakfast being very small to fit us all inside, they had what we needed: there was space to sit outside, so not such a biggie The bathtub was making squeaky noises, and the shower hose was situated too low for tall people. The room was a bit outdated

The property is very old and dated. The staff did the minimum amount of work to check us in. The room was old and floorboards were broken in places. The bed was squeaky and the floor was dirty. The free breakfast was terrible. A few store bought items thrown out there. If you’re looking for a place to sleep and that’s it and don’t mind dirty old bed and rooms this is your place. I would not recommend it and will definitely not stay there again.

Clean, convenient and well priced. The bed wasn’t super comfy but for one day, it did its job! Staff was nice. Everything was clean. Decent place but we only stayed one night

Likes: close to beach closed to outlets. Does not meet my expectations.

A liked how close it was to everything. I asked for towels 2 hours before checkout than another time an hour before and still never got towels to shower.

The location was secure, quiet, and convenient. Breakfast was an upscale continental style with a nice coffee machine.

The info and pics show coffee maker in room, and the breakfast shows waffle maker and instead it was toaster waffles, no thank you we left and had breakfast elsewhere, you need to update your site telling no coffee maker maker really why???? And also it’s toaster waffles, that was one reason I stayed there I’ve never been where no coffee maker in room

Room was clean and comfortable. I would recommend replacing coffee machine with carafes of coffee to save time in the breakfast room in the morning
