Hyatt House Salt Lake City/Sandy

We enjoyed our time at this Hyatt. We were disappointed when we went to go swim and the pool was shut down for several hours as that was our only available time to swim. The breakfast bar was great and the made to order omelette option was awesome!

The room was nice and big. We booked the two bedroom suite. It was nice to have so much space. The rooms were big and having two bathrooms was really nice. The pool was enjoyable and the free breakfast was good. We arrived to check in at 3 and were met with a long line of other costumers trying to check in and only one person working the counter. When it was finally our turn, we were told since we booked a bigger suite it was not ready yet. They told us it would be a few minutes, so we went out and unloaded our vehicles. When we returned we waited another 10 minutes to be told that our room would be another 20 minutes, but it wasn't. Finally at 4, our room was ready and we checked in. It wouldn't have been such a big deal, but several.others were being told the same thing and we had somewhere to be at 3:30 and we were hoping to freshen up in our room before leaving, but instead half our family left for the event, while the other half waited for our room. I also thought the price was a bit high for this hotel. I have stayed in nicer for cheaper.

It was a nice stay. Loved the room, kitchen and family room on the side. Bathroom was great!

We were pleasantly surprised at how wonderful the room turned out to be. Plenty of room, the bed was very comfortable, and the overall package was great!

We had a second lovely stay at this convenient property, our last being during Spring ski season in 2023. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean, spacious and mostly had everything we needed. The property was well maintained and very safe. I took off one star because the breakfast was not as good as I remembered from our prior stay, and on a couple of occasions loud outside maintenance and other guests making noise at night kept us up. I also would recommend the hotel add more hooks in the rooms and bathrooms to hang bags, swimsuits, towels, etc. and more dressers or places to store things. Overall though, I would definitely recommend this hotel for a safe and pleasant stay in Sandy, Utah.

Exceptional

Cleanliness, location, outdoor pool and hot tub, all staff were friendly and helpful. I’m being picky here. I had a grilled chicken sandwich with bacon. The chicken was so dry I took it off and just had a bacon sandwich. The bread used for the sandwich fell apart while I was eating it. My husband had the chicken wings and the flavor and portion size was great but they were not crispy. The Parmesan fries were really good
