Courtyard by Marriott Costa Mesa South Coast Metro

Very clean, and staff super helpful, but it’s quite an old hotel.

Our room smelled like chemicals when we checked in. I called the front desk, they sent the engineer to our room. He took the air filters and said he would return. He returned, and the smell was still in the room. He personally said “yea, we shouldn’t have rented this room to anyone, there were a lot of chemicals used in this room” I called the front desk, his hands were tied because it was a sold out night. At this point it’s late and all hotels near by are also sold out. I went to the front desk in the morning. The manager said he could comp breakfast. I said “I already have free breakfast with my booking” he basically said he couldn’t do anything because I booked third party. I said I would take it up with who I booked with then. Then while eating breakfast he came over and said he could give me points on the Marriott app to be equal to a free night. I agreed that was a fair offer, I downloaded the app. Yesterday the points were downloaded. 10,000 points, but when looking at booking it would cost me 35,000 points. I’m just frustrated that I took him for his word and that’s not what he did on his end. I travel for work, I have never complained about a hotel, ever. This experience was terrible and I wouldn’t go back.

The hotel could use an update. We were there at 100% capacity and got put in a wheelchair access/roll in shower room that smelled musty and like smoke. When you shower in a bathroom like that the whole floor in the bathroom gets wet which is pretty annoying. We stayed here a couple of years ago and it was fine but it’s starting to go down hill. Probably won’t stay here again in the future.

Hotel was clean and staff was nice. Hotel was a little aged and needs updated carpets and better lighting in the hallways. But a clean and safe place to stay.

Good location, clean & well-kept, great staff

Checking in was a breeze and the staff was incredibly friendly. We were down there for a concert nearby and Courtyard was a 15 minute walk away. Rooms were comfy and clean, shower was piping hot, and my friend got the breakfast that ended up being pretty good!

Properties always clean and nice. The Receptionist was a little bit rude and I was really tired. But they were accommodating and were able to get me an ADA room.

The hotel was good but the location and area was poor. I wouldn’t stay there again

Slider Window to outside was very dirty and other outside slider was weeds and dirt. But there were also some green bushes that were against the parking lot to look at.
