Motel 6 Costa Mesa, CA

The floors where greasy, there was used underwear on the floor and the air coming from the A/C unit smelled like urine. Terrible hotel.

Room was somewhat clean, horrible smell of a dirty mop bucket, beds were not comfortable at all, they had lumps and sink hole areas, people staying at this hotel seem to have been staying there for a while so tells me its home to homeless people. Upon checking in i was approached and asked if i had crystal meth. Will NOT be staying here ever. And recommend people to consider somewhere else to stay.

The room smelled like mildew and we didnt have tv for 2 out of the 3 days. The kiosk live people are worthless. They aren't able to help with anything except they will say they messaged the manager but we never got any responses, and they live onsite. In my opinion they do not meet Motel 6 standards. The room down from us people were screaming and arguing and slamming doors all night....they didnt offer any type of discount since the TV was not working for 2 days. Which was the least they could have done considering the disturbance all night and not responding during the day at all to our service request regarding the TV not working.

I liked nothing about this hotel. One of the worst ones I have stayed in. The floor was very sticky and had crumbs all over it. The flooring was also lifting up in quite a few spots. The room had a mildew smell to it and there were bugs everywhere. I will never stay at this establishment ever again.

For a motel 6 this was actually a great location and accommodated all our needs for our stay. The room was clean and we were allowed to have the dogs

Close to the freeway The toilet doesn't flush

If I could give a 0 star review, I would. Everything about this entire place was dirty. I think the only thing clean in the room was the beds. The floors had something sticky on them, gross build up and sticky stuff in every corner, Cheerios and chips on the floor, there was something gross on the TV, a film on the faucets, the shower head looked dirty as well as water spraying in every direction, and the towels were the size of a toddler towel. The room smelled of stale smoke and something musty. The door didn’t close properly. I was woken up just before 5am by a woman outside yelling and cussing at someone. Even the outside of the property was dirty, and had random piles of towels on the ground. We didn’t expect much, but did expect to have a clean room and decent bed, neither of which we got. Had it not been so late and had I been able to make other accommodation arrangements we would have left. My rental vehicle was cleaner and more comfortable than my room. In addition to all of this, I went to the office hoping to speak with someone about my concerns and I had to talk to someone on a computer screen in the Middle East somewhere, who did not help or care about what I had to say. Please do not reply with the generic response of “sorry for your poor experience “ the only thing that could make any of last nights stay better would be a refund and to fix your property so no one has to experience what we did. We will never stay here or any Motel 6 ever again!

Ac cold as ice, shower hotter then hell, bed was like sleeping on grandmas pullout couch with a spring mattress, location was a 10/10

The staff checking in and out were very nice. Lots of Marijuana smells and smoking. No plug to take a bath, limited towels for showers, roaches on the tub and baby roaches on the vanity, running all over. Noticed lumps in the bed and crackles. Plastic bed covers, cracked and broken, fabric bed cover under sheets, ripped. Pool only open till 8pm, not unlocked at 9am. Refrigerators only available on the 2nd floor.

Smelt bad. Shady people all around building. Trash outside. Toilet siding work. Bed was lumpy and hard. I did it even stay the night I left for another hotel.

Front desk workers have been replaced by a man on a computer screen who is not on location. You have to check in and out with someone on this computer screen and they are unable to help extend reservations if needed. In fact they can’t help with anything besides checking in and out. Absolutely horrible, I don’t know if they’re trying to save money ? or if they can’t get enough employees but it is a terrible business model and needs to be changed back immediately.

Awful, THEY overbooked and THEY cancelled our room without a heads up. We get there and gave us attitude. Don’t ever book here
