La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Costa Mesa / Newport Beach

Parking was full upon arrival. Price too high for an average room.

This was one of the worst hotel experiences that I have had. When we arrived we were given a room that reeked of weed and cigarette smoke with burn marks in the bedding. We tried to turn on the AC and it made a horrible racket. I went to the office and they changed our room to their nicer rooms. In the second room, at least there was no mold in the bathroom, but it also smelled of cigarettes. I went to use the towels and they were either dirty or very stained. I walked across the floor barefoot and my feet were so very dirty after. I was really grossed out by the lack of cleanliness. But not being able to breathe because I am alllergic to smoke was what made us not return for the second night. I was promised a non-smoking hotel and this is not that! My last complaint but I could have dealt with it if it was the only issue is the 405 freeway noise is so very loud (maybe also because there was a 1" gap under the front door). I tried working with Expedia since this is clearly mislabeled as non-smoking and they won't help with the second night at all. Be very wary of this hotel. It is horrible.

The breakfast was good and the location was awsome What i didn't like is that the bathroom tub the water took for every to drain and the bathroom light was broken

Towels were dirty. Room smelled of urine

The mattress was wet, not enough supplies, one bar of soap for bath and wash basin usage, terrible breakfast options

Because of these issues, we decided to check out early instead of staying the remaining three nights of our reservation. Despite the condition of the rooms, the hotel did not refund the unused nights or even the day we checked out early, which was extremely disappointing. Overall, the cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service did not meet the standards we expected from a La Quinta. Unfortunately, I would not recommend staying here.

Location Not Clean. Very old

The Staff are not helpful, with very aggressive attitude ., breakfast very boor, I don’t recommend it to any one , very bad experience.

Nothing compare to the pictures shown. Very poor quality.

Horrible. I’ve been to a few La Quinta locations, but none this bad. Unclean rooms, roaches, homeless people sleeping in the walking path a foot away from the room doors, solicitation of drugs by homeless people, and poop on the property; hopefully just dogs

The room was rented to me with a broken bath tub nob to turn the water on/off. Although maintenance came to fix it AFTER it was rented out to me. Out of all the LaQuinta's I have stayed at across the country, this one was the worst. LaQuinta in Inglewood would be by far a better option. I would NEVER rent from the Costa/Mesa location again.

i saw a cockroach in the room its more like a motel 6. bathtub and shower was a joke small kitchen towels for showers. owners are cheap. Run down property.

Very dirty

On line this place looks great, but it is far from it. Only one person is in charge of the lobby, so we had to wait for him to become available multiple times. The room was dirty, terrible cheap bar soaps, no blow dryer, big chipped paint patches in the room, toilet kept messing up with no solids, elevator was not working, and no one available when we call the lobby. In one of the visits down to the lobby to complain about the toilet there was another customer saying that his room was in terrible conditions. Showed us pictures of bugs and holes in the wall. Needless to say we will NOT be staying there again nor recommend you to. We will also not trust the ratings in Expedia…

Location was good. No hot water, terrible towels, no shampoo or conditioner. Breakfast was not open when they said it should be and not very good when it was. Lights under the bed kept coming on and off when sleeping.

Disappointed. This was advised as 3 star hotel, but is actually worse than lots of 2 star. We will not come back. Room furnitures are relatively old. Power outlets are very limited and not convenient. Bathroom is old. Sink faucet flows extremely weak, almost unusable. We use the tub faucet to wash hands. Beds are too soft. Bedsheets seem to have been used for 10+ years. Breakfast is only waffle, muffins, and coffee.

I booked a room with 2 double beds and I confirmed that at the time of check-in and was told yes, but when I got in room it had only 1 bed and when I went to front desk, I was told they are out of rooms with 2 double beds. I asked them to refund. the front desk person called his manager over the phone and I was told that manager will come in morning and issues refund. Instead I have been charged reservation amount and security deposit. Attempts to contact expedia and hotel has not help.
