I'm giving this hotel 3 stars. As for cleanliness, it was 5 stars; everything was very clean and exactly as pictured. However, my 3 stars are because we couldn't get a good night's sleep. The mattress was in very poor condition with a significant uneven surface, so we couldn't rest and woke up with back pain. For me, the most important thing in a hotel room is the comfort of the bed; it has to be super comfortable. That's why you're paying to rest, not to wake up with a sore back.

This charming hotel was super clean, the staff was nice and even texted me when I left to say I forgot my pillow. Conveniently located, I will definitely be back next time I’m in Santa Barbara!

You are not getting any thrills here, but what you are getting is the cleanest room possible with sufficient space for one or two nights. The front desk team could not be nicer and helpful. The location is superb for doing work in SB and or walking to one of many restaurants or supermarkets in the area. Luxury it is not but its a 10 on what matters most. thank YOU

There are no amenities as far as a lobby or pool or anything. Walkable but very busy state street. It was very clean, lady was sweet but for almost $400 I was disappointed. Maybe things are just that expensive, seemed like a $175/night hotel

Unfortunately, I found a blood stain on one of the pillows, and there were a few insects in the bathroom. At first glance, the room appeared clean, but once I looked more closely, it became clear that the cleaning was not very thorough. Another issue was the limited parking. The property does not have enough parking spaces inside its courtyard. If you arrive late at night, you may have to park outside the property, in what is essentially another property’s parking area. Guests are told that their cars can remain there only until 8:00 a.m.; after that, they risk being towed. This was quite inconvenient. In addition, there is no staff on the property after 9:00 p.m., and I did not receive a response when I texted the number they provided for assistance. One positive aspect was that they allowed me to check in online, which was very helpful since I arrived after the front office had closed. Overall, I do not think I would choose to stay at this property again.
