Capri Motel

Room was old and outdated, not very clean. Comforter had stains on it. The tile in the bathroom was repaired with a big cement patch. Cockroaches in the bathroom, nightstand was missing the drawer. There was no mini refrigerator, no microwave. No room cleaner the whole week I was there!

Overall, it was a decent stay. For how much I paid a night. I would have expected more, but the hotel itself was really quiet. Even at night, didn't appear to be too many seedy people around. Right in the middle of city center, like maybe five minute walk to the beach, super convenient location.

The proximity to boardwalk and pier was nice Beds were uncomfortable and the room was expensive for offering no amenities and uncomfortable bed/pillows. It is on a noisy corner and you can hear voices echoing from the nearby bridge in the middle of the night

I had low expectations and they were met. Basic, reasonably clean place for a weary traveler to rest his/her head. Wouldn’t want to do anything but sleep there. Location is good, and among crazy pricey Santa Cruz hotels, it was the cheapest. But I still can’t believe I had pay what I did for what I got.

Only good thing was walking distance to the boardwalk. Staff was very snappy and rude and I don’t sugarcoat for reviews. The rooms didn’t smell clean and the whole site was very unkept. They got my room wrong then wanted to state they just didn’t have it so I ended up having to compromise because what else am I to do on such a short notice. This was a drop your stuff off and barely use, type of motel, if you want to be comfortable or cleanly do not go here. Staff made it seem like a chore just to check you in, and again I don’t say these things lightly, you need to genuinely give it off and they did.

This place was soooo gross compared to a hotel four blocks away I stayed in the night before for the same price. It was loud, smelled bad, the floors were literally sticky, and there was only a thin fleece blanket on the bed. Toiletries were bad, the paint was abysmal and grout in bathroom cracked everywhere. I booked same day bc poor planning but would have rather saved the money and slept in my car honestly.

There were bugs crawling on. The walls. I had to get another hotel. I was still charged

location, cleanliness, professionalism and courtesy of staff the microwave wasn't plugged in, so when i plugged it in a menu came up like wireless settings and i tried a few buttons but wasn't able to set it up so wasn't able to use the microwave. the coffee maker in my room was missing the coffee pot. The staff said to let them know if I needed anything and I felt she meant it, but I didn't want to bother or take the time to learn how to set up the microwave. Wasn't a big deal I only wanted it to microwave my water for hot tea.

Nice front desk help. Parking is fine. Room was fine for the short stay. Refrigerator worked but not really that cold. Quiet. Expensive for what it is. I realize there are a lot of tourists who want to be in Santa Cruz/Capitola, but for the price, it is a little steep.

location was good We were given a single room that had an adjoining room. We later found out that room had 3 beds. The people in the room with the 3 beds made so much noise until 2:00AM that we could not sleep. The next night, another group of loud people got the room and one man tried to forcefully open the locked adjoining door. We complained and asked to move and finally after a couple of tries we were given a new room. Not a restful experience for an Ironman weekend!

The parking spaces are so limited and narrow.

Proximity to Boardwalk was great. It's walkable for many people, but not me. If you do, you save $30 a day in parking. It was one of the 2 cheapest vacancies in town. So price was good in comparison to others. Room was not clean shower had hair in it a lot of unidentified stuff on the walls and the doors . The A/C did NOT work, which was bad for an upstairs room. The outside temperature was wonderful so I kept a window open and tried to keep the door open as long as I could. Which is creepy, with lack of privacy. The other problem with that is the location, being right on the corner of the main drag through town there. Every 2 minutes or so, morons passing by in cars and motorcycles burn out taking off the light. Or screech it sideways around the corner there. So it was very loud, even with the door closed, until around 1AM.
