Courtyard by Marriott Santa Cruz

I love the fact that it’s in walking distance from the boardwalk, the room was large enough for our party of 6, and the cafe in the lobby was yummy, and valet parking downstairs was so kind and welcoming! I can’t really think of anything!

I really liked the room I was in, the breakfast serving was so fantastic. The valet i was very new with but they did such an amazing job keeping my car safe and secure. I would definitely come here again on my next trip!! What i wasn't too fond of was mainly having my room maintenance, Like I thought I would have fresh new towels or sheets within a few days of my stay, but when I have asked for room service they did bring the towels but not the rest of the maintenance of what my room needed. Hopefully the next time it would be done. I still had an amazing time at this hotel this is just my personal experience:).

This kids and I were on our way back home from our road trip and were stopping in Santa Cruz for the night. The arrival and check in was fast and easy. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Hotel was in a great location and a short walking distance to the boardwalk and restaurants. It was perfect for my kids and I short stay. The hotel also has a guest laundry room on site where you can do a couple loads of laundry if needed. I love getting back home and not have to do laundry so this was a big plus for me. I really enjoyed my stay here and will be staying here again soon.

Great location. 2 Blocks to the boardwalk. Friendly staff. No vending machines on the floors, but they do have a 24hr small shop on 1st floor. Would not let me get late check out due to reserving through a 3rd party website.

*We chose this hotel because the pool was advertised as heated and open until 10 PM, but the water was cold after 8 PM, so we could not enjoy the pool. * Housekeeping did not service our room during our stay and did not check whether we needed fresh towels. * Body wash was missing upon check-in. * The quality of the bed linens was disappointing. * The bathroom tissue box was almost empty — only two tissues were provided. * We would also appreciate complimentary bottled water being provided upon check-in. * Valet parking was an additional $35. * I have stayed at Courtyard by Marriott hotels in another country and had an excellent experience, so I expected the same level of service here. * Unfortunately, this hotel did not meet the standards I expected for the price, and I would not choose this hotel or the chain again.

The bed was comfortable. The view was industrial. The room was clean. The walls are thin.

Clean room! Staff seemed understaffed it was slow to get help.

Location, cleanliness. Bartender closed early and wasn’t the kindest when we asked for a beer. Front desk staff was perpetually overwhelmed and needs more support.

Great location, large room Expensive to park

Exterior was really nice looking. I guess the area is okay. Didnt feel particularly safe walking over to the downtown area. Also, they don’t put any kind of tea or coffee in your room. Even a cheap little machine with cheap coffee would be better than nothing. I couldn’t even find a cup to rinse my mouth out when I brushed my teeth. Like, spring for a couple of cups and a $20 coffee machine.
