I liked that this property for the most part had a lot of things near by. It was not noisy, very calm, and parking was very convenient.

It’s average

Staff at front office was very rude when I was looking for bottled water. Also the hot tub smelled like urine.

My second time staying there and both times have been great nicely kept comfortable beds quiet room rooms. Staff is very friendly and a good simple breakfast in the morning.

We had a great stay and would definitely stay here again. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly and welcoming, which made us feel right at home. We also really enjoyed the breakfast with a decent amount of options. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to try the hot tub, but everything else about our stay was excellent. Overall, a very pleasant experience, and we would gladly return in the future.

Very clean, nice staff. Will stay again

Great location. Plenty of parking. Restaurants and grocery stores are walking distance from the property.
-
Peaceful independent motel on the Westside. Helpful staff, good breakfast and conveniently located for beach, mountains and downtown access

I liked that it was close in driving distance to the beach, stores and restaurants. I didn’t like the sound from the air conditioner. It interrupted my sleep. I would stay there again but take ear plugs with me.

We picked this hotel because it had a very high rating. There's absolutely no reason for a high rating. The hot tub was murky. The breakfast was absolutely underwhelming. They don't have hairdryers, and the room was fine but not fabulous as the ratings indicated. It's on a very busy road, so while there is a nice garden area it's impossible to enjoy it because it's so loud. It's completely baffling how this hotel could have such a high rating

The only negative thing that the garbage truck came at 6:50 am in the morning and wake us up, but it doesn't apply to the property. We slept with an open window (enjoyed nice cool breeze!) so it probably made a difference.

Unfortunately insulation and soundproofing between the rooms was not great, and we had noisy neighbours until beyond midnight. Then, due to an event going on in Santa Cruz that weekend, many people were up from 5 am, showering and getting ready. We heard all of it. The room was very warm and we needed to run the AC through the night, but it was so loud that every time it switched on it woke us all up. No fan in the room. Beds were extremely soft and we didn’t find them comfortable. We actually checked out a night early because we just didn’t want to try to sleep here again. I recognise that not all the issues here are within the hotel’s control. We just didn’t have a great experience.

Clean room and the staff was all friendly and helpful!

The place was clean and functional. It wasn't as nice as the pictures made it look. It's an old motel thats been updated. The included breakfast was very bad and minimal.
-
Great location, efficient & friendly staff — if you’re planning on a trip to the Boardwalk, this is THE place to be for a budget friendly family (or single/couple) stay👍

It was what it was inwhich turned out to be as good as it gets

Excellent breakfast. Clean room.

Breakfast was poor. Went to the bakery across the street to get something for breakfast. No staff was present.

Overall it was a very solid place to stay. Comfy beds, clean rooms and clearly they made a real effort to make the best of their hotel. Even though the hotel is on a busy street that doesn’t appear to be in a tight knit neighborhood, it’s actually really close to a lot of cool hip restaurants and central to many destinations. The hot tub is cute but needs some love. The air conditioning unit, which I could manually turn on and off, would cool the room in cycles which didn’t really work well given the comforter was so hot. For two nights the covers were either too hot (when the air conditioner was not active), and just warm enough which I found was disruptive for sleep. Other than someone’s dog barking too early in the morning, rooms were quiet.

Hot tub was perfect in every way. Surrounded by beautiful plants. A little noisy with the carwash across the street. Jetted tub in room also loud when on although without the jets it was wonderful. Overall great location, helpful staff & would go gback.
