Mission Inn

Very good and well-run lodging. Very clean and well maintained. Downstairs room was dark and not well lighted. Shower water volume was less than ideal--water saving to excess? Upstairs breakfast room (no elevator, not accessible) is bright and cheerful. Breakfast somewhat better than average--waffle machines, fresh apples, bananas, and oranges, cold peeled hard-boiled eggs, but too much bread and not enough protein. And weekdays breakfast ends at 9 a.m., too early for vacationers but just fine for business travelers.

Front desk staff was very helpful and pointed us toward a great dining area to suit our needs/vibe. Our room was well-appointed just up the back stairs. Hot tub is in a secluded area. Breakfast room small but seating downstairs at outdoor tables with umbrellas. Easy one-way parking, might be difficult for anyone in large RV or towing something long.

Finally an Accommodation Room that is set up efficiently and safely. I usually travel with a motion detecting nightlight but one was installed already. Alas, the small breakfast room is up a flight of stairs (!) and offers no proteins. (Did not attempt). Did not try the hot tub. Parking is easy. Close to what you'd look for in Santa Cruz.

I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Very dirty hotel, the floor was dusty and they left the last guest's toilet paper and tissues. It was not a great experience overall. They need to do a better job cleaning the bathroom as well. Very disappointing.

Room was clean, staff was kind and helpful, and location was great for helping my daughter move into UCSC.

Add some bacon or sausage and snd some fresh scrambled eggs would be a great addition. Some fresh fruit perhaps

This was a nice hotel for one night, it was quiet, comfy beds, and nice staff. I forgot my pillow on the bed, and they were kind enough to hold onto it until I can get my son over to pick it up. They had a nice breakfast in the morning.

They were kind enough to give us a room upgrade when they heard that it was our honeymoon. The receptionist was very kind and helpful, offering several good restaurant recommendations. We felt safe there. The property was clean and kept up well. It was an excellent location for walking to restaurants and grocery stores as well as a laundromat. The bed was very comfortable.m!

The room was fine but not worth how much we paid. The room was clean and had basic amenities but $400/night was way too much for what we received. For example, the sheets on the beds were cheap, kept coming off the bed, thin and pilled. The pillows were thick, overstuffed. There wasn’t a bedside table on either side of the beds so that everyone had access to a bedside light and plug. The towels were thin and not the quality I would expect for a $400/night room. The coffee maker in the room didn’t work. Very disappointing for the price we paid.

Breakfast room well stocked. Never tried hot tub. Tub did not drain well. Location convenient. Check-in was delayed due to computer issue but resolved within half hour or so.

This was our second time staying at the property. Our room on the ground floor was very quiet. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Red and the other woman at the reception desk are very friendly and welcoming. There’s easy access to the grocery store and gas station. The breakfast room is well stocked with a decent selection for a self serve quick meal to start the day. Nothing

I liked the location of the property. It’s a little older, but it’s still cute enough. The pictures online make it look a lot nicer than it is. Our room wasn’t very clean. There was hair on the bathroom floor and on our bed. It didn’t seem like it was cleaned very well. The bed was very uncomfortable and hard. I didn’t sleep well at all.
